Hello! I would appreciate your assistance in reviewing my driver application. I have submitted most of the requested documents, and only my background check is still pending, which was previously accepted but is now under review. My main concern is that I receive conflicting information when I inquire with different representatives. While Uber's app states that a background check should take 5-7 days, I was told in a chat that it could take 35 business days. I am puzzled by the extended timeline and unsure of what else needs to be done. I have been diligently submitting all required documents in Puerto Rico since January, staying up to date with insurance payments, yet I am unable to start earning income. The lack of clarity on when my application will be fully processed is quite frustrating. Can anyone offer guidance on this matter?

On April 22nd at 9:58, using account [redacted] under the name Desiree Aguilera, I booked a ride from Fontana to Needles, CA for $[redacted]. Upon the driver, Tomyra's arrival, she made an inappropriate comment about Mexicans and questioned me about car seats for my kids. She then refused to take me, expressing distrust and drove off. My card was already charged, and I was informed I must wait 48 hours for a refund. Missing my sister's birthday and not being able to visit my family due to this unacceptable and unjust treatment is disheartening.

Good day. Yesterday, at the address Dmitrovskoye shosse shopping mall Five Planets, I ordered a taxi. The passenger got into the car, and the driver demanded money upon arrival, which was transferred to Sberbank card even before the trip ended. While in transit, the driver decided to play rock music and enjoy it without paying any attention to the passenger. The trip turned out to be very uncomfortable and unpleasant. Let's hope that you will start hiring polite and conscientious employees to work with customers! Thank you for your attention!

My spouse worked as a driver for your company for two weeks. Initially, his ratings were not great. After he took a test and passed, he got back to driving the next day. However, his account was unexpectedly terminated today, despite his efforts to improve his ratings post-test. This job is crucial for supporting our basic needs like food, bills, and housing. Losing this job could mean losing our car, phones, and what little we have. I believe it would be fair for you to review this situation and reactivate his account so he can continue driving for Ubercart.

Dear Sir/Madam, I tried to book a ride from my residence at [redacted], Sector 15-D, Chandigarh to Chandigarh Railway Station on 12.04.22, but no cab was available, causing me to almost miss my train to New Delhi. When I later booked a ride to the CGHS Wellness Centre in Sector-45, I was charged an extra Rs. 62 for a trip cancellation that never happened. Despite explaining the situation and paying the additional charge to reach the medical center in time, I feel it was unfair. I want to clarify that the previous booking was impacted by a driver strike, not my cancellation. I paid the driver, Shan, the normal fare along with the extra amount. I request Uber to refund the Rs. 62 promptly. Being a 71-year-old senior citizen, I find this situation unacceptable and tarnishing to Uber's reputation. I seek your attention to investigate this matter. Regards, R K Bandyopadhyay

Dear Sir/Madam, I faced a challenging situation when I couldn't book a ride on 12.04.22 from house no.[redacted], Sector: 15-D, Chandigarh to Chandigarh Rly Station due to no cab availability. This caused me to almost miss my Kalka-Satabdi train to New Delhi. Later, when booking a ride to the CGHS Wellness Centre in Sector-45, I was charged an extra Rs. 62 for a supposed cancellation on 12.04.22. Despite paying the additional amount out of urgency, I never actually canceled any trip. Uber should acknowledge the driver strike that day causing the unavailability of cabs. I find Uber's actions unfair and unethical, tarnishing their reputation. As a 71-year-old senior citizen, I request an immediate refund of Rs. 62. Regards, R K B, [redacted] // 7840XXXXXX.

I recently used Uber in Anchorage as a new user and have a fragrance intolerance due to a disability. I encountered issues trying to request a scent-free vehicle before agreeing to pay for my ride. Uber's system only allowed me to inquire about the vehicle scent after booking, leading to two cancellations and charges for the driver's time. This process frustrated me, and eventually, I had to settle for a scented vehicle, which made me sick. The inability to provide specific instructions before committing to a ride led to a negative experience. I hope Uber addresses this problem to comply with disability laws and their non-discrimination policy for drivers. I switched back to Yellow Cab due to this issue.

Dear Team, I have a concern regarding the drivers. It seems like they tend to cancel our rides when they realize the fare is low. Recently, when I booked a cab for my children to go to school, the first driver canceled the ride after hearing the fare was Rs. [redacted]. I then booked another cab, and although the second driver confirmed he would be there in 10 minutes, he didn't move from his starting location and didn't answer my calls or messages. This behavior is concerning and affects our daily transportation. Your assistance in addressing this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

On April 27th, [redacted], at around 8 p.m., I requested an Uber from Orlando International Airport, expecting a fare of $46.00. However, upon completion of the trip, I was charged $57.66. The driver took a longer route, making incorrect turns, which doubled the duration of the journey to 45 minutes, when it should only have been 20 minutes. I am requesting a reduction in the fare due to these issues. The trip to the airport cost $26.00, so I am puzzled as to why the return trip to the same address was $57.66. Furthermore, the driver displayed an unfriendly attitude when we tried to address the extended route taken.

Hello, this is Varshit from Mumbai. I have been a regular user of Uber for the past 3-4 years. Today, as I was heading to my office, I booked an Uber auto from Thane to Bhiwandi. Initially, the wait time was showing as 2 minutes, then suddenly changed to 1 minute, and finally ended up at 5 minutes as the driver seemed to be going in the opposite direction. Despite trying to reach the driver multiple times, he kept disconnecting my calls, leading to delays. The ETA kept increasing from 8 to 15 minutes with no response from the driver, making me miss an important business meeting in the sweltering heat. After contacting the driver, he claimed he never received my trip request, which seemed untrue as he was heading towards my location initially. Frustrated, I had to cancel the ride and book again, facing another long wait time of 18 minutes. This poor service has compelled me to consider switching to Ola and escalate this issue through various channels as it is not the first time such an incident has occurred, causing significant inconvenience to me. I expect a satisfactory response promptly to avoid further action.

On Sunday, April 24, [redacted], I faced multiple issues booking a cab from Delhi Janata Flat to Ramesh Nagar. Each time I booked, the driver called asking where I was headed. The last driver, Sanjay, even boldly said he would cancel my booking and take me without it, with the payment due on arrival. Despite the argument, he took us to Ramesh Nagar after canceling the booking. The car's number was [redacted], and the bill was originally ₹[redacted], but he charged us ₹[redacted], claiming it's a common practice. Drivers either say there's no gas in the car or refuse to go to specific locations. Is this the standard service of your online company or some sort of auto union? Please clarify.

Uber informed me that my ride would arrive in 25 minutes, making me late for my appointment. The estimated arrival time fluctuated, causing confusion. The driver denied knowledge of picking me up when contacted. Despite attempts to reach a human at Uber, my ride was canceled without my consent and a new one was assigned, further delaying me. Communication issues persisted as the second driver was unreachable, leading me to cancel the ride. A third cab was unexpectedly assigned, prompting frustration. I managed to cancel the third ride online. I seek assistance to resolve these issues and prevent further incidents. I am disappointed by the service and contemplating switching to Lyft. Contacting a human representative seems impossible via the current customer service options. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I traveled from Gorakhabasi Road, Kolkata [redacted] to 27C Raja Subodh Mallick Road, Jadavpur Kolkata [redacted] on 19/07/[redacted] at 15:25. The trip cost was Rs [redacted], which I paid in cash. Despite always using cash and not using a wallet before, after two to three months, when I tried to book another trip, I was told there was a Rs [redacted] outstanding payment. The reason given was an insufficient Uber cash balance. I've lodged complaints, but I was informed they couldn't help after 30 days. I'm confused about how this balance happened when I always pay in cash. This issue remains unresolved, preventing me from using Uber without clearing this unexpected due amount. I'm willing to pay the Rs [redacted] if it truly owes. Your prompt and honest response would be appreciated.

Hello, I am Abid from Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. I have been an Uber partner and driver for over a year now with two cars attached to the Uber service. Recently, both my drivers have been unable to go online. Upon checking the Uber Fleet app, I noticed that my drivers and cars are active, but my driver ID has been rejected, even though I have never used a driving app. I have not received a justified reason for this block and have been attempting to contact customer care without success. I believe my ID should be activated promptly unless there is a specific issue on my end. Both of my drivers are facing difficulties due to this situation, and I am seeking assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you. Regards, Abid Khan.

I traveled with Uber to the airport on April 24th. More than 16 hours later, my driver charged me a $15 lost item fee even though nothing was lost or returned to me. This deceptive practice is extremely upsetting, and it makes me reconsider using Uber in the future. The driver responsible for this dishonesty should face consequences to prevent similar incidents. I am requesting a refund for the extra charge and believe that the entire trip cost should be refunded. The lack of communication options within the Uber app for feedback adds to the frustration of trying to resolve this issue. If this matter is not addressed properly, I will actively avoid using Uber and share my negative experience on social media and with others. This disappointing experience has made me question the integrity of Uber's services.

Yesterday in Wynwood, I took a dark-colored Uber with a young man from Haiti at 7:30 PM. I left the charger for my electric bike in his car. The Uber was requested by an acquaintance of mine. The backseat of the Uber was messy with lots of things, and he dropped me off in a dark area, and my charger was left in a Public bag. Please, it's really difficult to find a charger like mine. Hopefully, you can return it. My phone number is [redacted]. It was at a bus stop in Wynwood around 22nd street where I took the Uber. If you can ask your Haitian drivers, the driver's name was Eugenio.

I was extremely dissatisfied with my recent ride experience. The vehicle reeked of tobacco, indicating that the driver smokes inside. Furthermore, the driver was coughing profusely without wearing a mask, which is concerning given the current spread of communicable diseases like the flu and COVID-19. While I understand Uber's policies, it is crucial for customers to feel safe during their rides. I felt vulnerable despite wearing my own mask. The car itself requires a thorough cleaning, and the driver should address his persistent cough for the well-being of passengers. Overall, it was a disappointing service today.

I attempted to use my familiar Uber credit card, which has been successful in the past. However, this time, it was declined due to insufficient funds. Upon verifying with my credit card provider, I was assured that there is a considerable remaining credit limit available. Could I please switch to my Discover card? It is possible that there is an address discrepancy causing the problem. Here is my correct address for confirmation: Louise J Gilmore 60 Cooper Street, Apt. 1G New York, NY 10[redacted] Thank you, Louise

Subject: Disappointing Uber Experience I experienced a concerning situation with Uber recently. Despite waiting 10 minutes, my driver canceled, and the subsequent driver assigned was over 10 minutes away and made no progress towards me. Confusion with canceling led to me being matched with a driver far away, resulting in me eventually needing to take a cab due to time constraints caused by road closures. Nearly an hour after my initial request, I was informed my driver had arrived for pick up. This experience led me to believe a change is necessary regarding drivers accepting fares significantly far from the passenger's location in urban areas. I believe compensation is warranted in this situation considering the extended waiting time and inconvenience caused. As a loyal Uber user who values prompt and reliable service, I request a review of this issue and appropriate action to rectify it. Failure to address this matter may lead to exploring alternatives to Uber in the future.

I recently signed up with Uber to get a ride in Dallas, TX as I am not from here but from San Jose, CA. I provided Uber with my personal number and email address. However, upon downloading the app, my account was immediately deactivated. I am constantly receiving emails to my phone, but they are not helpful as my account is deactivated. This is my first time trying to set up an Uber account, and I urgently need it reactivated for a ride or deleted by 4pm CST. I have been struggling with this setup for a while now and time is running out.
