I booked an Uber Intercity from Chandigarh to Ludhiana on a Sunday. The cost after a discount was Rs [redacted]. I paid the driver Rs [redacted] at the petrol pump, and he returned Rs 40 as change before leaving. Everything seemed fine until I received a message stating that I had only paid Rs [redacted] and now owe Rs [redacted] to the next driver. I ended up paying Rs [redacted] to the following driver as requested. I kindly ask Uber to refund the incorrectly charged Rs [redacted] and take action against the driver.

I booked a ride, got a confirmation, but it was canceled. This happened four times with Uber, and I was charged $5 each time for cancellations when the drivers didn't arrive. I finally got my round trip but was still charged for the previous cancellations. Please refund the charges to my bank account.

I am seeking assistance as I encountered issues with two Uber rides I requested recently. On December 25th, I booked an UberX to Atlanta airport with Lamar, the initially assigned driver, who seemed to struggle to locate my pick-up spot despite clear instructions. After Lamar canceled the trip, Ramona was then assigned but also faced difficulty finding me. She even raised her voice at me, claiming I provided the wrong address. Due to these cancellations and subsequent rebookings, my fare increased, and I barely made it to the airport in time for my flight. My main concerns are the fare hike due to driver cancellations and the inefficiency of Uber's GPS compared to Waze for my address. Living in Atlanta on a prominent street should not present such challenges for Uber drivers. I hope for a prompt response and I am ready to provide further details if needed. Thank you. Regards, Rohn Dubler

Two days ago, my friend and I took an Uber ride and left our goggles in the car. I have been trying to retrieve the Uber driver's number from the app, as I had contacted them before the ride. Even after contacting customer support, I was unable to get the driver's contact information. I was advised to enter my registered number to connect to the partner, but then was informed that I had not called from the registered number. When I tried to login again, I encountered an error stating my number was already in use due to reinstalling the app. I am unsure what steps to take next. I would appreciate a prompt resolution as I have been attempting to resolve this issue since yesterday. Thank you for your understanding.

On December 31, [redacted], I booked a cab at around 9:30 AM at the railway station, where the initial fare displayed was 78.98 rupees. Upon reaching home, the driver requested [redacted] rupees, which was significantly higher. After reexamining, the app reflected a fare of just 58.22 rupees. This discrepancy is unfair, and swift action is required to address this situation. Due to this experience, my confidence in the company has been shaken, as I usually only endorse Uber. I am seeking a refund for this matter. However, despite my attempts to reach out, they have not provided a satisfactory response, only assuring me that they are investigating the issue further.

On New Year’s Eve, there was a major issue with the app. When attempting to order a ride, the map showed my location as Lybia, while someone else was shown in Papua New Guinea. Despite trying to request a driver, the app crashed entirely and did not function again until after 2 am. Around that time, I received a very impolite call from the driver, shouting that he had driven seven miles out of his way to pick me up and I was not there. I explained that I had requested the ride over two hours ago, and due to the app crash, I couldn't do anything to notify him. He continued to yell at me for circumstances beyond my control. I am now being charged for a service I did not receive due to this situation. I am unable to speak with a person directly, and anticipate receiving a dismissive email response leading to the charge remaining. I am concerned the driver may falsely claim it was my fault to collect the fare. The driver's behavior was unacceptable, and I am requesting a refund.

Hi, On 12/31/19 at 9:08 pm, I requested an Uber from Capitol Hill to downtown in Washington, DC. I needed to make one stop in Capitol Hill to drop off an item at my house. Despite informing the Uber driver at the start of the ride, I was taken straight to the final destination downtown with my bag, prompting a return trip to Capitol Hill. I tried to change the final destination back to downtown before getting there, due to Uber's limit of 3 stops. I checked my app multiple times and even had another rider confirm my entries were correct. The ride essentially took me from the start point to the end point, skimming the stop, then almost back to the start point, before finally reaching downtown. This unexpected detour not only cost more but caused a significant delay and separation from my group. I am requesting a full refund for this inconvenience. Thank you for addressing this matter. Looking forward to your response. Best, Emily

I was picked up in Ramona around 11:30 p.m last Thursday and was dropped off at [redacted] Jamacha Blvd on the same day. Upon realizing I left my phone and wallet in the car, I called my phone immediately after drop off. The driver answered and informed me my belongings were in the car. He suggested meeting at 33rd and Adams in San Diego. After a 12-minute drive, he was not there. Despite trying to call him again and arranging another meeting place, he did not show up. I need to retrieve my phone tonight as my wallet contains $[redacted] withdrawn from an ATM and I must have it back before tomorrow to access the base. I have tried contacting him multiple times but have not received any callbacks. It's crucial for me to resolve this as I require my phone for verification purposes.

As a frequent Uber Moto rider, I faced an issue today. Despite being at Ballygunje Bharat Sevasram stop, the driver claimed the location was incorrect and arrived late. The fare charged was four times higher than usual, Rs 87 instead of Rs 22. I am seeking a full refund and an apology. Otherwise, I may need to escalate this matter to the Consumer Court. I have evidence in the form of screenshots detailing the discrepancy in the pickup and drop locations. It is unfair that I was charged significantly more, considering I was at the correct pickup point. I request an explanation for the excessive charge incurred. Thank you. Best, Col J. B.

I am unable to access my Uber account anymore, even though I have been a driver for over a year. I have driven for the past three days, but suddenly I can't log in to the app. This is frustrating as Uber owes me money, and I have tried to reset my password without success. Despite having a high driver rating of 4.89 and receiving compliments from riders regularly, I feel unfairly treated due to the lack of communication from Uber. It is disappointing when technology malfunctions, but the poor communication exacerbates the situation.

Regarding Acceptance Rate tracking - I am a Platinum driver. I logged off at 4 p.m. on January 8th, which Uber confirmed. During the night while I was sleeping, my account was marked with 3 "timeouts" because I didn't accept or decline requests. My acceptance rate is usually around 90%. I contacted Uber support by phone, and they acknowledged my concern and said they would make a note of it. This has happened before, but it's the first time it happened while I was asleep. I would like my score to be adjusted accordingly. Thank you.

I am requesting a refund for my disappointing ride due to the excessively slow driving behavior of the driver in Brazil. The trip that should have taken between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours lasted 2.25 hours as a result of the driver's slow pace, allowing other vehicles to overtake us on the highway. Despite informing the driver about our flight schedule, the situation did not improve. I am very unsatisfied with the service provided and would appreciate it if appropriate action is taken against the driver. Furthermore, I am seeking a refund for the substandard service received.

I faced a frustrating experience today with UBER. Despite being where instructed, I went through multiple location changes and encountered various obstacles with no success. The saga started at HealthWorks at Porter Square, Cambridge, MA, then over to MoneyGram, and finally to White Street. The driver who arrived initially left abruptly. Eventually, after rebooking, the correct driver showed up. Although the car was darker than described, the driver’s service was excellent; I rated a solid 5. However, I was unable to tip him as the option did not work.

I am experiencing memory issues due to my age, and my husband has Parkinson's disease. While checking the cost for a ride to Fort Lauderdale Airport, an Uber driver unexpectedly arrived at my home. Unable to confirm the ride as I was unwell in bed, I was still charged over $48. My son in California tried to assist over the phone since neither my husband nor I drive, relying on Uber for transportation for years. Now we do not have the Uber app on my phone, and we are worried as we need it for medical appointments. We kindly request help to reinstall the Uber app on my iPhone at [redacted]. Your assistance in restoring the app would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Marilyn and Bill B.

I recently took an Uber Intercity ride from Bangalore to Mysore. The fare displayed on the app was Rs. [redacted], but I was charged Rs. [redacted].52 at the end of the journey. The cab had a 45-minute stop due to engine issues. It seems unfair to pay extra for a delay caused by the driver. I always thought the initial fare estimation would be what I pay. I kindly request a refund or credit to my Uber account for the excess charges. Thank you. - Unnikrishnan.K

Hello Uber team, I had a trip this afternoon with an excellent driver who was very helpful with transporting my large live plant. Despite the driver's great service, I am requesting a refund for today's ride due to the Uber app providing inappropriate route suggestions. The app directed us to the Lincoln Tunnel, causing unnecessary delays and traffic. As a result, the prolonged journey caused damage to my plant and even led to me injuring my arm while trying to support it. The app's navigation quality was lacking, resulting in a frustrating experience. I want to clarify that my complaint is directed towards Uber and the app, not the driver. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I had an extremely upsetting experience with an Uber driver. The driver threatened to charge me for a small eyeshadow spill and was confrontational from the moment I entered the car. He made me feel uncomfortable about minor incidents and demanded I pay him for the cleaning right away. I was polite and cooperative throughout, but he was aggressive and rude. I know Uber provides insurance for accidents like this and I believe it should cover cleaning costs. The driver's behavior was completely unnecessary, and I did not deserve to be treated that way. I was left so upset that I didn't even complete my trip. I am requesting a full refund for this ride and will not be using Uber again due to this experience. Drivers like this should face stricter screening processes. I regret not trusting my instincts and leaving the car earlier.

Subject: Toll Exemption Request for Cancer Patients Using Uber Dear Sir, I am a senior citizen residing in MMR Mumbai. My wife is currently receiving cancer treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel, Mumbai. We have to frequently travel to the hospital for her treatment and follow-ups. I would like to bring to your attention that while the government has exempted toll tax for cancer patients traveling across the country, this exemption is unfortunately not being passed on to patients by Uber operators and drivers. The toll amount is included in the pre-travel estimates and invoices issued by Uber India, leading to difficulties in explaining the situation to drivers, especially those with monthly passes or automatic toll deductions. Cancer patients and their families face immense psychological and financial challenges. Many exhaust their life savings to afford treatment, while some sadly succumb to their illness due to financial constraints. Various NGOs and the government provide support, but with the growing number of cancer patients, not everyone receives assistance. It is crucial for Uber India to demonstrate compassion for cancer patients by facilitating toll exemptions. This can be implemented by adding a declaration or a checkbox for patients to indicate their status when booking a cab, with operators verifying their identity using hospital-issued ID cards. I urge you to consider this matter with empathy. While toll exemption alone may not significantly impact the overall treatment expenses, it would be a meaningful gesture from Uber to support cancer patients during their difficult times. Thank you for your attention to this request. Sincerely, Kuldeep Sinha

Regarding my ride at 3:15 today with Ruben: My ride experience with Ruben was disappointing and unprofessional. When I mentioned the warmth in the car, he didn't respond, which felt unfriendly. He seemed confused about my destination, despite it being clearly input. It became clear that he misunderstood my drop-off point, causing delays. When I urgently needed a bathroom stop, his navigation errors worsened, leading to unnecessary frustration and inconvenience. Eventually, he abruptly dropped me off far from my destination. The situation escalated when I tried to report the issue through the app but faced technical difficulties. I demand a refund for this unpleasant experience and request appropriate action be taken regarding Ruben's conduct.

I contacted customer support through the app to address an unfair fee of $98 for a routine trip from Aventura to Miami Airport, which typically costs around $50. Despite offering me a 25% Uber cash refund, they still billed me $75, which felt like they were doing me a favor. I prefer transparency or charging me the correct fee. In the email response, they explained the higher price was due to limited drivers available, but as a glasses wearer, I quickly select the first option without closely checking, assuming it was $48 instead of $98. Loyalty matters, and after using their service for 18 months, I don't appreciate this treatment. I may consider using another option like Lyft moving forward.
