I use my existing Uber account on my cell phone with number **********. Next month, my wife and I are going to different countries in Europe and we would get our carrier AT&T's international package on my wife's phone which has a different number than mine. When I tried to set up Uber on my wife's phone using my existing account (because I did not want to create a separate Uber account for her), the Uber app would not allow me to set it up unless I use my phone number ********** (which I am NOT bringing with me to Europe). So right now my wife's cell phone is setup with Uber using my email and cell phone number. Now, my question is this: If I use her phone to order Uber service, would it work? And if the driver needs to call me, would they know to call my wife's number or would they call my cell phone (which wont be with me)?

Although the Uber app would not allow you to install it on a different phone number, once the app is installed using your original phone number it would allow you to UPDATE the phone number. So before going to Europe I updated the phone number in my account via the Settings in the app and then revert back the original number when we get back. By the way, the Lyft app would not allow you to update the phone number so this is one thing that Uber does better than Lyft.
