My Uber account was disabled and I need it to be reactivated ASAAP. At first, I had a rider account. Later, I started the online application to be a driver, but then I decided not to be a driver and not complete the application. I kept receiving text messages and e-mails asking me to finish the application, and Uber Support said the only way to stop the messages would be to deactivate both my Driver account and my Rider account, and that is what the support representative did.**However, now I cannot use my Rider account because I cannot sign in or open a new account. I get an error that says the account is deactivated. *and also that my phone number *-***-***-**** is already in use.**Please reactivate my account or make a change so that my phone number is not “in use” by the Uber system, so I can open a new rider account.**Feel free to call me at ***-***-****. How GetHuman-davekins fixed the problem
I explained the situation to Uber Support with the same details I provided here. A year ago, I did that, and it never got resolved. This time, support fixed the issue. Uber Support replied, in part, "It appears that our fraud detection system flagged your account, and as a precaution, we temporarily restricted your access." I don't think that's true, but it's been fixed. I had to use the mobile app to log in now and request a new password, because once the account was reactivated, my old password didn't work.
