At *:** am today I began to get numerous texts on my cell stating "**** is your Uber code" or "Your Uber code is ****." Each contained a different code. After ** texts, I sent a "stop" email. This worked until * pm today when the texts resumed with different Uber codes. I texted "stop" several times but codes continue. I have received about ** texts so far. The word "STOP" is meaningless to Uber. I have never used Uber. Please delete my phone number from your system and do not contact me again EVER.
GetHuman-miriamt did not yet indicate what Uber should do to make this right.

How GetHuman-miriamt fixed the problem
I entered Uber as a contact in my contact directory and then edited the contact to direct all calls to voicemail. HOWEVER, I also called my phone provider, which directed me to forward the chain of texts to SPAM (****) so the carrier supposedly could investigate. Not sure which of those did the trick but I have not received any more Uber code texts, thank goodness.
