Called in for unscheduled (sick days) for * days in August and recieved the paperwork and dr. Filled out the forms and returned them. I then went on vacation (overseas) for * weeks. I returned to a request for more information and the denial in my hold mail. *st person in HR told me to still have my dr. to provide info and fax it in. When I called to verify it was received I was told case closed cant be reopened. I was told to let management know to contact tax coordinator of our district to resolve since it is understandable. Managment tells me they have nothing to do with FMLA. Usually as soon as they know case was denied they have you in the office for the situation and call it poor attendance..* days in * year. And just to help this situation my postal vehicle was hit last week and was frowned upon for going to get medically cleared. I am currently set for dr. review on *-*-** and it was to my understanding any accident should be addressed medically to cover health and safety. Not syre if it matters but I was in military ** years and I always made sure my unit was ok by taking it as a responsiblity to check on health and well being. It also states that in postal management handbook. This happened on *-**-** and the only people with any concern have been alot of customers on my route. Management called that same day to tell me i had improperly called in for this and would have to fix it. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
