Help with my Twitter issue
Before contacting them, items GetHuman-oliversy may need:
Username, Email on Account, Phone Number, Password, and Name of Account Holder
Top Tip from another customer
If your email and password are changed on the account then there is no way to recover the account. This company has a very strict policy with recovering accounts and if anything is different then you cannot recover the account. You must have the original email or phone number on the account.
The issue in GetHuman-oliversy's own words
Change my birth year by ONE year ... I got locked out of my Twitter account for changing my birth year from **** to ****. I'm ** years of age and have been the correct age to use Twitter for * years. My concern is that my account will be suspended. I'm desperate to keep it seeing as all of my messages with my SO are there, and my idols follow me (which took YEARS of dedication) I will be utterly heartbroken if my account is shut down.*Edit: I've absolutely RINSED Twitter's support website, googled nonstop and I found something that gave me some hope but it's confusing as ever. Basically, they'll restore my account if I delete everything (likes, tweets, DMs) that were made before I met the age requirement to use Twitter BUT I can't access my account to do so. Doesn't make a lot of sense. I need to get in contact with somebody and be granted access to my account to get rid of those tweets. The number provided on this website doesn't offer over the phone support and I can't find anywhere where I can speak to an actual person.
What I've found is that in order for me to have my account restored I have to delete everything from before I met the age requirement to use Twitter HOWEVER I currently can't access my account to do so. I can't speak to anyone and the support website is extremely difficult to navigate.
Giving me my account back.
I've been a Twitter user for about six years, I've always followed the guidelines and used it solely to make connections in the music industry. (I used to be a music journalist) this has been VITAL in furthering my dream career. It's disheartening that my account was terminated because I made it a few months before I met agree requirements.
I've tried just about anything I can
