To whom it may concern, **My name is Karlie Dobbs, twitter user @KarlieDMusic, and I have been a twitter user for nine years. In all of my years of twitter, I have covered many songs but recently, since covering several Bruno Mars singles, I have received copyright notice after copyright notice. **When I woke up on the morning of July *rd, I had received two emails. One indicating yet another notice and my twitter account being suspended. What was the most shocking to me was when I first received the first few notices, which were where you reported my cover videos for his songs “That’s What I Like”, “Chunky”, and “Somewhere In Brooklyn”, I went as far back in my account as twitter would allow and deleted every single tweet that had a cover video attached. I was almost positive that I even deleted my cover of the Bruno Mars single “Versace On The Floor” But it still got reported. **Now, as an artist myself, I understand the entire legal stand point about having rights to music. However, when I posted these covers, I never made profit off of them* I simply posted them for fun. I also would never post cover videos without crediting the artist themselves. **As a result of these covers, and just promoting my own music in general, I gained momentum of about *,*** followers. One of my covers was even seen by Bruno Mars himself and was quoted and retweeted on his account and then later taken down for copyright infringement. I have never once done a cover as a means to take away from the original artist themselves. If anything, I do it as a token of how much I respect and love that artist. **All I ask is that you please give me my account back. I even asked the UMG representative to please retract the copyright infringement notices. Considering covers are posted daily on multiple accounts, I didn’t understand that what i was doing was wrong. Therefore, If that means I never post a single cover on twitter again, then I will sacrifice just that and use twitter to only promote my music and my music alone. However, I don’t want the power of music to be the reason why my account stays suspended. I have reached out to twitter support at least twice today and all I keep getting back is an automated notice just like the one I received this morning. Therefore, I am now reaching out to you in hopes that you understand my plea. **I know I’m not guaranteed to get my twitter back but I wanted to reach out to you anyways to express how sorry I am and to assure you it will not happen again. Hope to hear from you soon. **Sincerely, *Karlie Dobbs
