I placed multiple orders on the same day with Target.com to utilize the free gift card for spending $** deal. One of the online orders was mailed to an OLD address. As a federally employed family we move often. We have many ship addresses on file. Why the computer sent the other * orders to the corrext address but not this one is ridiculous. As soon as tgr order email came through with the incorrect ship address I contacted target.com via yiur chat feature to have the problem corrected. I was told although it was less than ** min after the order was placed that this is not possible. The person told me to cancel the order. I informed him I did not the money held on my account as I needed to place several orders that day and needed the funds. I was then told to contact UPS to change the ship address. I did that. In fact I went back and forth many times calling UPS and Target to get the address changed. Each person claimed it was the other,persons responsibility and stated they couldnt make the changes. I was finally given a case number and told to call back the following day. When I did that I was hung up on multiple times as soon as I gave them the case number. I had to call and select the bridal *list department to get someone to escalate to someone with more power and or understanding of this situation. Someone did help me and was very through explaining that she cancelled my order and WHEN and IF that order is returned you will refund me that money. I didn't want the order cancelled. I just want the address changed. Then she offered me a **% off when I placed the order after the refund cleared. After our conversation I looked up your refund times along with my banks refund times. Due to the time constrain of traveling I needed to order the gifts now and NOT in a few weeks when the refund game back. I decided to then place the order with my credit card today rather than risk the package not arriving on time. This is ridiculous. As a frequent online shopper you are the only company that requires this much drama and effort to fix an issue. I have * kids under the age of *. As a federal employee my husband is gone **% of the year. I utitlize online shopping as a time saving method. Nothing about this process has been time saving. Why did only * of my * orders that day default to this old address? Why coudlnt you update the ship address in the computer immidetaly? Are you aware that companies make this process,much,easier? Why couldn't you resend the order to me WITHOUT canceling and reorder? You have already recalled the first package correct? It would,make sense for you to then resend the order to the correct order without the credit -refund-charge circus you are putting me through. Why are your call center employees not equipped to handle these calls? And Why in the world do you have listed on your help site that the shipper WILL change the shipping address when UPS has now told me and your employee that they WONT AND CANT do that. It is up to Target to change the address. Today's experience makes me hesitant to order othst Christmas gifts from your store and I will be sure to tell as many family members and mom friends as possible.
