Buy secondhand clothes for my growing Poshmark & Mercari accounts. ... Bought $*** in cards and was attempted to be defrauded. I have receipts and codes aren’t scratched. I have this persons info and they will keep defrauding people. I was meeting her at a public spot (Subway I think) to look at some clothes she had for sale. But she insisted I give her the Steam pin codes first. So after an hour of her telling me she was waiting on her boss and that he has to verify payment before she can sell me anything I left. I have both cards. The receipt.
I do not have extra money to throw away. I do have some of her info, so hopefully that helps. It's just saddening that this is what the world is like today. Not willing to do any work and selfish.
Problem is that Steam cards are non-refundable. So, the only option is to sell them to regain my losses. There's also a problem with that because you have to be aware of people trying to buy the cards and scan. you. Ultimately, I want my money back.
I was a new customer, but we spoke for *-* days prior to meeting via messaging. We had (what I thought) was a really great rapport.
I looked everywhere for a way to get a hold of Steam. I think its totally insane they don't have a phone support system, and speaks highly of the way they do business. I emailed them as asked, twice, and have not heard back.I tried calling some numbers I found on this site to no avail.
