Recently I've purchased a copy of FFXIV Online * the latest expansion as a bundle on steam to play with friends.*I made a square enix account, activated the game and everything went smoothly as expected until I tried to purchase a character level boost. I kept getting the error i**** on every single payment option so I contacted Square Enix support via email and got a generic copy pasted response as follow:*"*Greetings,*We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with our authentication systems. The i**** error is an error that is triggered by the system to protect accounts. Many actions can trigger this error, such as a slow internet connection, use of a VPN or an odd connection (EG: schools or cafes), a possible virus detected on the device, many rapid payments at once, and numerous other actions.**Additionally, we have provided a troubleshooting guide for you if the above actions do not apply and you are still receiving the i**** error. We advise clearing the cache*cookies*browsing data from your default web browser, disable any web browser extensions (EG: ad-blocker), switch to Internet Explorer*Microsoft Edge and try again. You may also try using a smartphone running on a mobile data connection (WiFi disabled). We also suggest resetting the connection (router*modem) you are using to connect to the Internet and waiting a full ** hours since your last attempt before trying again.**Please check to see if any of the listed actions apply to your situation before attempting to access our services again.**Thank you,*SQUARE ENIX Customer Support"**I have tried to sign into my account using multiple browsers, reset my router to get a new IP Address, tried using a VPN and without a VPN. I even tried it on my phone using both Wi-Fi and cellular data. I've cleared the cache on all browsers along with the cookies and DNS cache to no avail. I also tried waiting a full ** hours between logging back in to my SE account.*I responded to the email stating the above and so far I've been completely ghosted by their customer service.*No payment methods work as of the time I'm writing this and this is obviously an account freeze of some sort on Square Enix's end.*My subscription time is going to waste and I will most likely not renew it if matters stay this way.
GetHuman-ysmx did not yet indicate what Square Enix should do to make this right.
