I have had a SONY KDL-**XBR* flat screen, LCD television for the past ** years with no problems whatsoever. My satellite television provider is DISH-TV. This TV has the “Picture AND Picture” feature, which I had never used before.**Now the television image that appears on my main viewing screen is divided into four sections, two on the top half and one on the bottom left half. On the bottom right half there usually is no image, just a dark gray screen. The sound is fine and all the other TV functions operate normally.**If I now switch over to the “Picture and Picture” mode, in the larger screen on the left the image, sound, etc., all are fine, and all the TV functions operate. All the DISH TV features operate, too, including playing shows recorded on its Hopper DVR. There is no image in the smaller screen on the right (its just a dark gray screen).**DISH-TV techs initially looked into the matter. They took control of my main viewing screen and for a while were able to restore it to normal. However, after a short time, maybe * to * hours, something would trigger it to return to the problem cited above. They eventually said they could not find any definitive problem on their end and the issue probably was with the TV.**I cannot find anything online or anywhere else that describes this problem and what needs to be done to fix it.**I would like to know: (*) Can this be fixed by adjusting some TV settings, and what to do* or (*) does my TV need to be rebooted (by unplugging it and then plugging it back in* or (*) is this something that requires a part to be replaced and the services of a TV repair technician?**Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.
