get them to honor their contract to repair or replace ... We have been Sears customers for over ** years, e have not been treated so shabbily the we are st this time. We purchased a Kenmore water softener along with the Master Protection Agreement. the current renewal expires July ****. The service on this unit has been great over the years. each year the service tech would come do a maintenance check and any repairs needed no problem. On July * **** service was done and repairs made, the tech gave a testing strip, a few days later tested he water and the strip turned purple, called and another appointment was made for July **. Tech came checked the unit and ordered * parts, to date only * part has been received. The contract stipulates that after ** days if all parts have not been received the unit is to be replaced at no cost. We were contacted this morning by Charice ****-***-****, she kept insisting that they will not replace the unit as it was no longer available st Sears, she would send me a form to sign after which a check for $***.** would be forthcoming. I told her I felt that I was being royally screwed because Sears was not honoring their agreement of repair or replace. I found her statement to be untrue as I found the unit on Sears website for $***.**. We are very upset.
