ON *******, A UGI SERVICE REPRESENTIVE INSPECTED MY A. C. UNIT TO MAKE SURE IT WAS READY FOR SUMMER COOLING. HE DISCOVERED A REFRIGERANT LEAK AT THE COIL, THE INSULATION WAS SOAKED AND THE COST FOR REPAIR IS OVER $***.**I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM. THEY INFORMED ME THE * YEAR MASTER PROTECTION AGREEMENT HAD EXPIRED.**I CONTESTED THEIR ANSWER BECAUSE LAST APRIL ****, A SEARS SERVICE TECH. ADDED REFRIGERANT TO THE SYSTEM BUT NOT FOLLOW TO SEE WHY THE FLUID WAS LOW, THE PROBLEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED AT TIME! **ON OCTOBER OF **** A SEARS SERVICE TECH. INSPECTED MY FURNACE FOR THE WINTER HEATING, AGAIN THE TECH. DID NOT ADDRESS THE PROBLEM, AT THIS TIME THE LEAK HAD TO BE VISIBLE SINCE THE INSLUATION HAD TO BE SOAKED AND DRIPPING. BOTH THESE VISITS WERE WITHN THE CONTRACT PERIOD!**I HAVE CALLED THE SERVICE DEPT. AND WAS TRANSFERRED AT LEAST ** TIMES AND AFTER EVERY TRANSFER WAS SENT BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPT. ONE MANAGER (DAVID) TOLD ME THAT IS NOT THE SERVICE TECH. JOB TO INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE OF LEAKS , WHY DID I PAY $**** FOR A SERVICE AGREEMENT TO HAVE SOMEOME TO ADD FLUID AND NOT LOOK FOR THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM??? I HAVE SPENT OVER * HOURS ON THE PHONE BEING TRANSFERRED AND TREATED LIKE I AM STUPID AND SOMEHOW GETTING DISCONNECTED, SEVERAL TIMES.*THE WAY TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM IS TO FIX THE LEAK QUICKLY, HOW ABOUT MONDAY *******! HOWEVER YOU COULD JUST REFUND ME THE $**** THAT I PAID FOR THE AGREEMENT YOU FAILED TO HONOR OR I COULD HAVE SOMEONE ELSE DO THE WORK AND BILL YOU.
