The issue in GetHuman-rogerth's own words*Thrifty*Dollar**Just wanted to bring something to your attention. I just rented a car from Thrifty at the DFW rental car location.*My contract was for * days at $**.** per day. I picked up the car at *:** pm Saturday and returned it Wednesday at *:** pm on Wednesday.**The original quote for this contract time was $***.**. When I checked the car back in, at *:**pm on Wednesday Thrifty tried to charge me $***.** for bringing the car back * minute late, in their words. **I believe Thrifty*Dollar is bordering on Criminal intent with these kind of policies. I brought this to the agents attention when I returned the car and he made the appropriate adjustment and said it was the system that did this, which means it’s the boys upstairs that have implemented this policy.**There are many people who don't have the time when traveling to get Thrifty car rental to make the appropriate adjustments. I am sure this is causing significant over billing with significant consumers in many many instances.**I think this would be a great piece to look into and I am sure there are many consumers who would acknowledge the same kind of predatory policies Thrifty*Dollar is trying to implement.**I liken this to Wells Fargo agents trying to charge for new credit card accounts that consumers never requested in order to enhance their overall revenues, which was quite the story.
