I am incredibly upset with the experience I had this evening and even more so with the horrible response from customer service. Tonight, the delivery person came and left without delivering our food and postmates claims that he was allowed to do so. Every single time I have ordered from postmates, I will get a text and push notification that my delivery is here. However, I don’t go downstairs because the delivery person comes to my door shortly after. I have made the mistake of leaving to meet them outside when they actually came to my front door. And any time they could not find my apartment, they would always call or text me and I would hurry downstairs. How is it postmates policy that the delivery person is allowed to take off if I am assuming they are coming to my door? This makes no sense. After a few minutes, I decided to go downstairs to look for them. Mind you, this was only * minutes after getting a notification. And I realized they had already left. If I continue to get the same response from customer service, I would like to speak to a manager of some sort. I don’t feel understood or appreciated as a customer.
