Usually there are no issues with a counter order at our local Pizza Hut.*This was not the case last Thursday evening.*The store number is ***** in Dover PA.*I mention this because the store ‘look up’ did not function in website ‘contact’.*The very first thing I ordered was * wings, very clearly stating ‘boneless, Cajun rub’.*My wife asked if there were any specials and told what she thought was large-* toppings-$*.**.*She ordered it with sausage, onions, and mushrooms and we were charged $**.** which was assumed to be the cost of both pizza and wings.*We also said it was ‘to go’.*The credit card receipt was printed, one for me to sign, the customer portion being crumpled and thrown away. I have never known this to be the proper procedure… anywhere. I do not want erroneous copies being discarded with any of my information attached. When asked, we were told the receipt would follow with the order.*After a relatively short time the pizza was brought to where we were sitting and we reminded the server that it was ordered to take out.*It was taken back for boxing and I heard someone say “I will take the blame for that”.*After receiving the pizza I asked about the wings and then looking at the receipt saw that it was not included and was basically told that I did not order them.*I insisted and my wife heard me order them so was told that they would provide me with a free order in * minutes. I was in no mood to wait any further and did not appreciate the comment so we left.*We also asked why we were paying over $** for one pizza and were told the special was only for * toppings which raised the price to $**.**?*After looking at the receipt more carefully at home there were only * toppings charged with no mention of the mushrooms!*The toppings themselves were so sparingly applied, we had to look closely to see if they were included.*In the end, we had to pay $**.** for an incomplete order and an additional $** for what should have been an $* pizza.*The staff appeared to be inexperienced , and at least one in training regarding check out.*It is important to know that never once were we treated poorly, and your employees were polite and responsive.*I hope you will use this as a training aid and to relay the importance of making sure customers are given correct attention to their orders.
