Contact Orbitz to request a refund ... Hi, I recently rented in the car through Orbitz, but the amount quoted by Orbitz was not the same as the actual fee the rental car company charged me. They told me that Orbitz often does this and customers are left having to pay the difference. I am very upset and would like a refund for the difference quoted by Orbitz vs. the amount charged. I'm happy to send you all the documentation to prove I had to pay more than Orbitz quoted. I had no changes to anything in my itinerary, car quoted, nor did I request any extra insurance or other items that would have changed my rental car quote.
I was forced to pay the difference requested by the rental car company and that quoted by Orbitz. I want a refund for the difference paid. in addition, the whole experience was upsetting and worrisome as I had no idea what to do about the situation and the rental car company stated that Orbitz frequently underquoted prices to get customers to book with them, and then the customer was later forced to pay more. When you are stuck in a foreign country with no rental car, you don't have much option but to pay the difference quoted. This is fraudulent activity and preys on the unsuspecting customer. Dreadful way to run a business!

I always pay all fees and am very loyal when I get good service. I never booked with Orbitz before and I certainly would never book again--I would strongly encourage all customers to be aware of this practice so they don't have the same things
