Cancel my account ... Unhappy with the cost of my ATT mobile service, and curious what internet only plan might be available, (I had FIOS) I called optimum on Monday May **, and spoke to a rep who sold me on an internet-only plan for $**.** per month for internet only w**** mbp “for life” and Altice mobile service for $** per month w*“unlimited data” “for life”. Okay!*The Optimum technician came Weds May **th to install. He mentioned the plan was only “****” (NOT ***) but I could have *** mbp for $** instead.*I decided to keep Altice mobile but switched back to FIOS.*I called countless times to cancel Optimum internet finally getting a rep on Fri the **nd (?) The rep kept saying that it would be better to cancel right before my service billing period on (June *th)*say, on June *th or *th. He was unable to explain "why" this would be "better", but, agitated and tired of arguing with him, I hung up. I tried calling yesterday the *th, to no avail, and today, several times, as in right now, endlessly on hold. I could kick myself for not standing my ground, and INSISTING he cancel me then and there. (my frustration got the best of me) I know that Optimum is FAMOUS for billing you for the entire period. This, I must avoid. OH, how I hate dealing with this company.
