The issue in GetHuman-pennytru's own words
I am writing to complain and ask for compensation, as a flight we recently had booked was changed without notifying us and when *we got to the airport our flight had already left and we had to go on standby which was extremely stressful as we had a connecting flight to catch. Fortunately we were able to be put on a flight, but we had to pay * bills. **,*** Thai Bhatt and *, *** Thai Bhatt for * flights and excess baggage. We had previously booked **kg of weight each, but we were charged for the baggage for the standby flight. In total we had to foot a bill of approximately £***. The flight that was cancelled and we were not notified about is as follows:-**Saturday **th November *.**pm from Chiang Mai to Don Mueang airport in Thailand with Thai Lion Mentari Co. Ltd. **This is totally unacceptable, as the last email I received from Opodo was on **th October **** confirming our flight was indeed as stated above. This gave us enormous stress and I am demanding full compensation.**I have a copy of your original email and all receipts for our expenses.**I look forward to an urgent response.**I am absolutely flabbergasted at what happened.***Miss Penny Trustram.
