I normally don't shop at Old Navy in stores but I decided yesterday to venture out because I needed a gift. I was in the Newnan, GA Old Navy at approximately *pm and I was able to find a few jackets and other items that would be perfect for the occasion. Upon checking out I asked the cashier for a gift receipt, after checking out I reminded her again that I would need a gift receipt because these were gifts. She asked me for everything or just one? I said everything so she presented me one receipt which I thought had all the items on it. I started exiting the checkout line and glanced at my receipt only to notice the receipt only had * item on it. I stopped the gentleman I assumed to be the manager and explained to him what happened (as the associate was going on break so I didn't bother her.) He told me the only way to get a gift receipt would be to return all my items and re ring them in addition to the fact I would have to wait in line even though I immediately brought this to their attention. There was a line of at least * people by this point. I find the way the situation was handled absurd and further solidifies why I do not enjoy shopping in stores. The solution to me asking for a gift receipt for my items * times and failing to get it is standing in line and returning everything and rebuying it? That's unacceptable. Is it not possible to pull the transaction up on another register? Or ask the cashier to move to the next one to continue ringing customers if you need to use the exact register? I was told I could use the survey I was given as a gift receipt as it contains the transaction number. If I wasn't in a rush to deliver the gift I would have used that survey for its intended purpose. I am highly displeased with my shopping experience.
