Assist in the fight against COVID-****Ecological and Epidemiological Cosiderations on COVID-****There are many questionmarks to the info published on COVID-** til now. Let’s have a look.*Where did the virus come from? In what circumstances was transmited to men? Why did it apper at this time? Why its virulence and contagiosity are so high? Why it cannot be controlled?**Virus Origin*Seems that the origin could be a small animal (micro mamifer), which lives in a limited and isolated habitat. This habitat is an elementary infectious focus in the nature. This focus is a small micro habitat protected from other animals. The temperature inside should be higher than the outside. The animal carries the virus and hands it down to future generations. The virus circulates within the limits of the focus. It can be transmitted to a different animal (micro mamifer) only at close range. This virus cannot be transmitted to other mamifers but in very rare cases. Otherwise the spread of the virus would have been diffuse and widespread.**Why, for example the SARS virus was found in a wild cat? Because the wildcat has come into contact with the animal of the origin.*Following this logic we have the right to consider as the source a bat species as previously stated and verified by the similarity with the COVID-** genome.**In what circumstances are men infected by COVID-**?*There are two possible ways of contracting the infection from the first subject (or more people). *The first is in the initial focus.*Second, in wild animals markets* in the province of provenience. In these cirumstances the carrier animal has infected people and it is not to be excluded other aninals in close contact. There is another option that the virus might have infected household animals living in warmer microclimats (cats, dogs, rodents, etc.) This option requires serologic certification.*Another option should be considered: The transmission of the virus from the domestic animals goes on to humans. *In the actual situation these considerations*questionmarks require an aswer because they constitute an important risk in the propagation of the virus.**Why COVID-** had such a speedy spread?*The main reason is that the infected people were first time contact with this virus and with no natural immunity.*Another reason is the slow diagnostic and publication of the initial cases.*The sick people were diagnosed as if they had a seasonal virosis. In these circumstances were not taken into consideration the non-obvious and light cases of the infection (which constitute considerable numbers of people). Sick people have been kept isolated for *-* days, considering the phenomenon similar to the seasonal colds. In many cases not completely helthy people have been considered sterile and let go.**Efficacity of the control measures.*COVID-** is not an aerogen virus. It can be transmitted only at close range. It cannot persist in the environment because of the low temperature. In this case spraying the outside of buildings and facades is utterly superfluous. Even the use of masks in ouyside areas, where COVID-** is inexistent, is superfluous.*In some circumstances could be useful the use of masks only for COVID-** sick people. It is unnecessary the use of masks for people not identified as COVID-** carriers. Finally where does the huge amount of used masks (a potential source of the virus) end up? Putting in quarantine people by just measuring their temperature is beyond any guarantee of having done the right thing.*What can be done?*The solution is in our hands: costless and efficient. Changing the ecological requirements of COVID-**:*-*Lower the temperature of inside environments*rooms to ***** degrees Celsius in the buildings in areas with epidemiological indication. This is the most efficient measure. *-*Instead of masks – widely use simple improvised cold wet (water) reusable masks (not only for the sick people). In contact with this mask the virus dies because of the low temperature.*-*Handwashing with cold waterand soap is very efficient (instead of expensice sanitizers)**In spring the transition from the human (carrier) to the healthy human (receptor) is practically because the temperature of inside and outside is nearly equal i.e not suitable for the survival of COVID-**. For many other viroses such as West Nile virus the transmission is carried out by the vector. These are the evolution ways of adoption in nature.**Dr. Agron Gina Ph.D. - TORONTO******@***.com*Phone: ***-***-****
