Went to hotel number **** in ruidoso last night and booked a room around *. We dropped our bags in the room and left to have a good night away from our children whom were still in roswell (which we haven't had in over * years). When we returned around *am. We went up to our room and tried to watch TV and lay down. The TV would not work, so we tried to pick up the phone to call the front desk. The phone was pushed under the countertop with all wires cut and seemed no one cared about the fact that it was damaged. So my wife went all the way back to the front desks and informed them of our issues. She was very rudely handed another remote and was told that was our solution. Sure enough when she returned the remote still didn't work, she went again. This time the "manager" came up to our room and tried to fix it. He was unsuccessful and told us we would have to deal with it and we could not switch rooms. All this we accepted and decided simply to go to bed. I went to lock the door and that was the last straw. The deadbolt on the door would not lock therefore we did not feel safe at that location due to the absolute un professionalism of the staff and the quality of the room we had payed for. We packed our bags close to * in the morning and left. My wife turned in our room keys and the disrespect continued from there, we were refused a refund but more importantly they refused us respect. We then drove all the way back to roswell and went to the motel * here. Not a single issue since we have been here. Very nice staff, very attentive, they make you feel like they want you here. I sit on one of your beds as I type this, my problem is not with motel *. It is with *****. I would like a full refund for at least one of my rooms. Both would be nice but I slept here last night so I am more than happy To pay for what we used. Thank you for time.
