On June *, **** I bought a MTD pro ** inch SS trimmer MP*** SKU number ***-**** at $***.** I also bought a replacement plan one year SKU number ***-**** at $**.** *This hedge trimmer had a two year warranty on it *On September ** **** I went to Menard’s on***th street in Hammond Indiana to the return desk and explain to them that the trimmer would not stay started * They said that says the trimmer is under warranty that I was supposed to take it to Highland Lawnmoor place in Highland Indiana * Every monthI kept going over there and they said they were working on it but they couldn’t keep it started *On June * **** I went to Highland Lawnmoor and they told me that they were on able to make it work and that it was unfixable They even gave me a letter stating this issue * Upon returning to Menards on ***th St. in Hammond Indiana they first told me that the trimmer was two years old and there was nothing that they could do Giving giving them the letter from Highland lawnmoor They then proceeded on talking to a couple of other people as well as manager end it was fine decided that I could go back and traded in for another one * When I went to the bank to look for another one exactly like what I had couldn’t find it found a employee who tried helping me find it then we went online and found out it was discontinued I search for another trimmer comparable to the one that I had * I found a craftsman trimmer but the only difference was it had a wind up string that I knew that I would have difficulty with * I went back to management and told them that I was unable to find A compatible trimmer and could they please put my money on my credit card so I could go to another place and get a trimmer exactly like the one I had * The manager had told me that this was impossible because it had been two years and they would have to give me a in-store credit Then I would really have to look for another one that would be compatible with mine After spending almost * hours in the store trying to rectify the matter I finally settled with the craftsman trimmer But I also got a load and cut model SKU number ***-**** To add onto the trimmer None of the employees were able to suggest this to me and a customer help me with this * I’m upset about is that the other trimmer was unable to be exchanged at the time I brought it in The place where I took it to to be repaired took to long to repair it and now it was discontinued I got me an extended warranty for this reason that it should’ve been replaced with no questions asked *I also had to pay someone to trim around my fence while waiting for repair* What is the use for the extended warranty then ? I am also upset because it took * hours to rectify This problem
