My wife and I purchased bathroom tile from Menards a couple weeks ago. We bought * packages cash at around $***pack, and we mailed in the receipt for the **% rebate. *After getting the tile in the room, we decided this tile wouldn’t work.**Since I didn’t have a receipt, exchanging was going to be tricky. Menards would only offer me the lowest sale price of the tile. (Due to a “mega sale” that meant they would offer me $**package.) **I asked if they could search the pick ticket with my phone number or call corporate to view my receipt, and this was not an option. They were also unable to simply refund me the price difference. (We don’t love this tile, but for $***package difference, we may take it!) Neither of these were an option.**The guy at the desk was extremely humble, kind, and offered to help as much as he could. My frustration is the way that Menards has set up this system. It has caused me to now have to load and unload *** pounds of tile three times, only to hope they can find my receipt and exchange my item. This is not only causing wear and tear on my car (which frankly shouldn’t probably be hauling the tile), but costing me a lot of time.**I’ve spent thousands of dollars on remodel projects and have exclusively shopped Menards in the past. After the past few experiences, that might have to change.**It would be very appreciated if a Menards assistant would contact me directly to resolve this issue, namely by tracking down my receipt and allowing me the correct amount for an exchange of item.**Thanks,**Mark Goewey****-***-****
