I was searching for a 24VAC transformer and found it on the app but couldn't locate it in-store. I visited the store in Davison, MI, and approached the electrical manager, Ryon, to ask about it. When I inquired, he mentioned they only had 10VAC. I insisted they had 16VAC as I had purchased one previously and the app showed they had 24VAC. Ryon didn't check the computer, claiming they didn't carry it. Frustrated, I sought help from another manager in the hardware department, who easily found the item. The lack of assistance from Ryon was disappointing, and it likely affects other customers' purchases. This issue with customer service needs addressing as it could be impacting sales.

I visited the Davison MI store searching for a 24V AC transformer listed on the app. I approached the electrical manager, Ryon, who claimed they did not carry them, insisting on only having 10V AC transformers. Despite explaining that I had previously purchased a 16V AC transformer there and the app showed they had the 24V one, he remained adamant. Disappointed by his response, I went to the hardware section where another manager promptly located the transformer. Upon confronting Ryon with the product, I suggested he rely on the computer for accuracy in the future. It was concerning that he didn't even attempt to verify the product's availability electronically. His lack of initiative could potentially deter customers from making purchases. This experience reflects poorly on customer service and could impact the store's sales negatively.

I recently placed an order for a special part for my range, specifically a natural gas to propane converter. I was informed via email that my order had arrived at the Warsaw store on Thursday, November 8, [redacted]. Despite visiting the store the next day, they were unable to locate the item. Promises of follow-up calls were unfulfilled, leading me to call on Sunday, November 11. After several unsuccessful attempts to track down the part, a front end manager mentioned that it would have to be re-ordered, causing a significant inconvenience as I needed the part urgently. Communication failures persisted until I escalated the issue and eventually spoke with a head manager who assured me he would reorder the part. Feeling dissatisfied, I pursued other options and eventually found a store that could provide the part promptly. Despite the frustrations, I appreciated the effort made by Josh in trying to assist me.

I purchased from Thomas Bliven Construction/Blum Construction, Order KRNY [redacted]7, on 9/8/[redacted]. The building materials were damaged upon pickup, with replaced steel also being faulty. The manager at Kearney Menards claimed the damaged goods were not their responsibility, but they had admitted earlier that it was. This consistent issue of receiving damaged or incorrect orders after 20 years of business with Menards is frustrating. Despite the manager's refusal to resolve the situation by returning the whole pallet, I need a store representative to contact me at [redacted]. Please, no emails or paper forms, just a phone call. - Kelly Blum

While shopping at the Menards store in Hammond, Indiana on Black Friday, I encountered a frustrating experience. After carefully selecting items and placing them in my red basket, an employee named Maria mistakenly took my items to another section. Despite my attempts to address the issue, both Maria's response and the management's handling of the situation left me feeling disappointed. Despite providing evidence of my selections, I received little assistance or compensation for the inconvenience caused. The lack of accountability and resolution from the store's management, including the electronics manager Eric and store manager Rex, left me contemplating whether to return to Menards in the future. The interaction with Barbara from the electronics department was one of the few positive elements during my visit as she tried to assist me with retrieving the misplaced items. Overall, the incident with Maria and the unsatisfactory response from the management team have tarnished my view of a store I have previously held in high regard.

I recently visited the Menards store in Countryside, Illinois, and I am quite disappointed with my experience. I purchased three packs of black friday sale batteries, all AA when I actually needed two AAA batteries. When I requested to exchange them, the employee, Blanca, informed me that I had to return and repurchase them rather than exchanging them. Unfortunately, I was unaware that the batteries were no longer on sale. I paid with my debit card, and Blanca mentioned that I could only receive store credit or a refund back to my card, which would take three days. This situation left me frustrated as I would have preferred to keep the batteries. I reside in Hodgkins, so this Menards store is the closest one to me. If this is the new store policy, I am considering not shopping here anymore. This morning alone, I spent nearly $[redacted], and no one seemed to care when I voiced my issue. I requested the corporate number and had to wait for 10 minutes before being provided with 1[redacted]. I am very disappointed as I normally don't complain but feel that I was treated unfairly. If you wish to contact me, please call [redacted] if you value customer care more than the store employees do.

Today, while shopping, I felt followed by the store's loss prevention personnel. I have made mistakes in the past, but being assumed to be a drug addict is unwarranted. It was embarrassing to be accused of something I did not do. Such behavior by your corporation is unacceptable. Treating law-abiding citizens in this manner is unjust. I trust that Menards will address this issue promptly as I was humiliated in front of my family and friends.

At Elk River Menards, there is a situation concerning the assistant general manager Jamie Cowell that I find troubling. It appears that he was involved romantically with a former employee named Desiree Davidson while she worked here. His behavior has even led to his wife leaving him. Despite Desiree no longer being employed here, they continue to see each other secretly. It is frustrating to witness Jamie neglecting his responsibilities when she visits the store, sometimes for extended periods, which affects his performance as a GM. This misconduct creates an inappropriate work environment, and it bothers me that he seems to avoid consequences for his actions.

My daughter placed an order for toilet paper online at a price of $2.50 per pack from Northern store. She made the order promptly to ensure availability. However, the store has not refunded her money. The store manager, Crystal or Christian Miller, advised her to contact her bank for the refund. This is not reflective of the usual good business practices I associate with Menards. I believe that the store should honor the price my daughter agreed to pay, especially if it was a result of a mistake or system error on their end. It is unfair to put the onus on the customer to rectify this issue with their bank. The store should take responsibility and refund my daughter's money or provide the product at the price initially advertised.

Recently, I purchased a tree stand from Menards that was on sale. Unfortunately, when I set it up at home, it started leaking, which led to a disaster as we were transferring our fully decorated tree into the new stand. The poker that stabilizes the tree base broke off, causing the tree to fall, resulting in a frustrating and messy situation. Despite trying various repairs, I ended up cleaning and caulking my old stand and repositioning the tree. This ordeal took much longer than expected, caused damage to ornaments, and left both my wife and me feeling upset. I hope Menards can improve the quality of the products they sell to avoid such disappointments in the future.

We bought a snow blower on November 12, [redacted], and used it for the first time yesterday during a snowstorm. Unfortunately, it is not running correctly. Despite adding fresh gas and letting it warm up, the machine struggles on idle. When we tried to exchange it for a different one at Menards (over an hour away), we were initially told on the phone that it was possible. However, upon arrival, we were informed it couldn't be done and that we needed to travel an additional 2 hours to a repair shop. Contacting Remington didn't provide any resolution either. The customer service experience has been extremely disappointing. We simply want a working unit as there seems to be a factory issue with this one. The snow blower in question is the Remington rm2660 26-inch model, which cost us over $[redacted]. It's frustrating to have spent so much on a product that is not functioning properly.

While shopping at the Muncie, IN store this evening to pick up materials for an investor from California who owns rental properties in the city, I experienced a challenging situation at checkout. The investor had a card on file and requested to ask for Cass. However, when I mentioned this to the cashier, Cass, the manager, responded with a rude tone. This made me uncomfortable, especially since my children were with me. Despite the initial interaction, I appreciated Stoe, the cashier, who was apologetic and handled the situation well. The sarcastic tone from Cass, the manager, was unnecessary, and it left a negative impression. As someone with multiple investors and property management connections, customer service is crucial to me. I hope that in the future, interactions with customers can be more respectful and courteous.

Today, I visited the Glendale Heights location, my usual favorite spot where I shop around four times a week. Unfortunately, my experience today was not pleasant. I tried to get the attention of two associates, both Caucasian males - one short with a general manager name tag and the other tall. They seemed more engaged in their conversation than in assisting me. I inquired about door and window installation and a double draft protector, but the short associate struggled to provide answers. Despite my patience, his unpleasant attitude was noticeable as he walked away. At the checkout, the cashier seemed bothered when I asked if she was about to open her lane. When I tried to assist with bagging, she responded disrespectfully. This experience has made me reconsider future visits to Menards, despite being a regular customer. Today's service felt far from satisfactory.

I had a disappointing encounter at the Menards in Warren, MI this week with the "manager" by the name of VON. I was attempting a simple return when the original staff member began the process by checking the product inside the box. The manager, VON, intervened and rudely explained that the open box meant I couldn't return the item. Despite my attempts to clarify that the box had been opened by their staff member, VON was dismissive and displayed arrogance. This experience has made me reconsider my loyalty as a long-standing customer of Menards. I have escalated my concerns to the corporate office, who advised me to reach out to this forum first. It's important for Menards to consider the demeanor and professionalism of their employees, especially those in managerial positions.

My name is Nicholas Boice. I visited the Menards store in Lancaster, Ohio to return a Christmas present from my mother. Initially, they told me I needed to present my ID to receive in-store credit, which I didn't have at that time. When I returned the next day with my ID, the staff was unhelpful and gave me a different receipt instructing me to email receipt inquiries. The employees accused me, my girlfriend, or my mother of theft in a rude and unprofessional manner. They refused to return my merchandise and insisted I wait for a reply via email. When I called the store the next day to escalate the issue, the manager, Nick, was dismissive and unapologetic. He hung up on me after a disrespectful conversation. The treatment I received made me uncomfortable and felt like I was being treated as a criminal instead of a paying customer. I work for multiple companies that frequent this Menards location and expect better service. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me at [redacted]. I interacted with Nick and another employee named Allen, as well as a woman named Lisa, during my visits. Thank you for your time.

I visited your Holland, Ohio store on December 20th. I inquired about wood cutting services as I needed 10-foot boards trimmed to fit in my vehicle. Initially, an employee confirmed the service was available. However, after spending considerable time selecting 25 pine boards, another staff member stated they do not offer wood cutting. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was informed there would be a $2 fee per cut. This miscommunication led me to reconsider my purchase of over $[redacted] worth of products. Despite expressing my disappointment to the store manager, I received an uncaring response. Consequently, I explored other options and was pleased to receive complimentary cutting services from your competitor. For my upcoming project, a three-car garage, I have decided to take my business elsewhere due to the lack of satisfactory customer care at Menards. I will also recommend alternative stores to my acquaintances seeking excellent service.

On December 18, [redacted], I completed my purchase at Port Huron, MI and loaded lumber into my Green avalanche. The tail gate handle broke, and I reported the incident to the Desk manager. Despite assurances of a call back from the General Manager, I did not receive any follow-up. After reaching out again, I was informed via the Desk manager that the General Manager claims the tail gate handle was broken before I arrived. This contradicts my account. The General Manager suggested I file a report, indicating their lawyers would contact me. As a Service Manager, I find this response unsatisfactory and feel the handling of the situation was inadequate. I never received a phone call or voice mail from the General Manager as claimed, which I can verify through my phone records. The broken tail gate handle was a result of Menards' employee opening the gate, as it was intact prior to my visit. In my professional opinion, the General Manager's handling of this matter falls short of expectations. Thank you, Todd

I have a Menards contractor business card account. My business recently purchased a new roof from Menards and is going through an insurance claim. With this card, purchases can be made but need to be paid in full. I paid 5% using Capital One before receiving the materials. Menards does not provide warranties for roofs, which business insurance requires. They offer 48 months of 0% financing for business clients and rebate checks as store merchandise. Opening a credit card with Menards seems pointless as they require payment in full and do not allow credit on the card. Menards' slow response time and lack of warranty information are concerning. I am questioning what actions the FCC or BBB could take regarding these issues. My business account number with Menards/Capital One is #[redacted][redacted]. Contact me at [redacted].

I purchased a budget water well pump from your store. However, upon installing it at home, I noticed it was leaking right away. I returned it with what I believed was the correct receipt to exchange it for a better pump. The pump cost $[redacted].99 plus tax, but upon returning the faulty one, I only received $[redacted] back. I feel like I have been shortchanged $45, which I had planned to use to provide for my child. I would appreciate it if I could have the $45 refunded to me.

On January 7, [redacted], we bought a Whirlpool washer and gas dryer at store #[redacted] in Crystal Lake, Illinois. We urgently needed the appliances and were allowed to take the floor models. After paying, we set up delivery for January 9, requesting a time between 4pm and 6pm. However, our delivery was scheduled for the next day without our consent. Despite discussing the issue with the appliance manager, the delivery date was changed to January 10, causing inconvenience as my husband now needs to take time off work. I believe Menards should refund the $69 delivery fee and provide a 25% off gift card for our next purchase. I was surprised to hear that the store does not have contact information for a district manager. I hope they understand the trouble caused by this mistake. - Christine R.
