Dear Megabus Customer Care,**I had booked a reservation from Buffalo to Kirkland via Toronto. On the morning of the departure, I realized that I could not find my passport, no matter how much I searched for it. I found my old passport and took it to the Buffalo bus terminal, hoping that I could use it, along with my driver license.**I have taken this trip several times before and the driver recognized me. When I explained that I did not have my valid passport, she very nicely told me that she could not let me on the bus. Trying to help me, she made a call to the Megabus office and they confirmed that I could not travel to Canada with a passport that was more than * months expired. **I missed this trip that was very special to me, as I was going to meet a relative that I had not seen in ** years. **I understand that Megabus has to follow the immigration policy.**The driver told me that Megabus very likely would refund me the amount of the trip if I explained what happened. **When I contacted the Megabus Customer Service, the employee who took my call was very unpleasant (borderline rude). This attitude surprised me because I have been traveling Megabus almost since it started and only encountered helpfulness and friendliness from all the drivers. Maybe the phone employees need more training!**Could you please let me know if I can expect a refund for the amount of*$**.**, since I could not make the trip ? I called Customer service and this time, spoke to a helpful employee who nicely told me that, because the date of my trip had passed, and I did not ask for a refund within * hours of the trip time, I had to buy another ticket, which I did. I resolved my problem myself without any help from GetHuman.
