The issue in GetHuman-wdalesio's own words
We ordered a new Frigidaire Gallery early August ****. The sales associate was very helpful and it was delivered within * days which was great. However, once we received the “brand new” refrigerator that we paid over $*,*** for we noticed, scratches on the freezer, the freezer handle was not secured, the ice machine would not produce ice, and there was no Product Manual. I asked if there was one and was told that it should be in the unit* if not I could go online to find it. We were not satisfied with our purchase. We called Lowes and, again, the Customer Service was fine and we received our replacement refrigerator today *******. But, once the replacement refrigerator arrived, I noted all of the differences between the original and replacement unit. The replacement unit had exterior film for protection, the door shelving came as a separate pre-packed item with assembly required, there was styrofoam separating parts of the refrigerator and freezer, there was a Product Manual. The replacement even had and extra shelf. The original had none of the above mentioned. While I appreciate the response from Lowes, I am very disappointed that I was originally given a subpar product instead of a brand new one as ordered. I do not feel like this is fair or ethical. I am concerned that anything we may (or may not) order from Lowes here on out may also be subpar and require the same action. I would like to be compensated for the unethical attempt to pass off a fraudulent item as new and for the wasted time required for me to resolve the situation.
