I have two linkedin accounts as I am a professional with two different careers and want to keep both separate. The account I am having an issue with uses a completely different email and everything has been working fine for * years. I wanted to change my password on both account and changed it on the first account .. Let's call it ACCOUNT AI **I then proceeded to change my password on ACCOUNT B ... and received my password link via email to the rightly associated email address linked to ACCOUNT B**NOTE: I'm not using * step factor or my phone number for PW recovery. **I click the link to reset my password for ACCOUNT B and receive this message.**"For your security, you can only change your password from a recognized device*That's because another LinkedIn member has added the phone number you were using for two-step verification, so we can't send codes to that number anymore.**You can still change your password from a recognized device. If you don't have access to one, please contact Customer Support."**This message should not apply to me as again mentioned above, I'm not using * step auth or using my number for pw recovery. Taking this a step further I click "Lost access to your email? Verify your identity"**I upload my photo ID and submit it and get the message. "Someone’s already using that email address on LinkedIn. Please start over and supply a different email address."**that person is ME.. Now I'm in an endless loop.

GetHuman1038577 did not yet indicate what LinkedIn should do to make this right.

How GetHuman1038577 fixed the problem
I was made aware by LinkedIN support, that you can't have two linkedin accounts, even if you have separate emails tied to each and are not using multi-factor or same phone number. So, merging solved the issue... of course.
