would also like to express my concerns about the exceedingly high pressure sales technique I experienced a member of your training staff. On Monday Dec *, I attended what I thought was an introductory training session to get better acquainted with the facility. **LA Fitness : Personal Training Assessment Reminder - Email Reference**********.**The front desk person was very polite and professional. I met with the training staff member who seemed very polite. He described his training program. He described a combination of weight lifting and reduced cardio to achieve better tone and weights loss.**I explained to him that I have early onset Parkinson's disease. I further explained that my neurologist and physical therapists recommend cardiovascular workouts lasting ** minutes to an hour. Resistance training and weights can exacerbate the tremors. I was involved in the Rock Steady Boxing program specifically designed for Parkinson's disease. However I developed a severe case plantar fasciitis. My current plan is to use low impact cardiomachines in combination with podiatrist prescribed footwear to achieve Parkinson's therapeutic exercise goals.**I went ahead and did a workout with him that was enjoyable. Afterwards he did his sales pitch. I told him I was not interested in paying $**-$***session and wasn't sure the program is compatible with my health needs. The young man pushed entirely too much for the next ** to ** minutes. He strongly implied my health goals could not be achieved without his professional assistance. **I tried to explain that I have some experience in this area. (Experience below) I feel my previous experience in athletics and my understanding of biology especially when combined with combined with the professional advice of my Parkinson's health care professional team will be adequate to achieve the goals.**Your staff member was relentless with the high pressure sales. He continued to say I required his professional assistance to succeed. While I can appreciate his eagerness to acquire clients, he is clearly NOT a physical therapist or an expert in neurology and Parkinson's disease. Implying that his expertise is somehow required and superior to the combined input of my health care professionals is irresponsible, inappropriate, and potentially detrimental. He was actually skirting the illegal zone when he tried suggest that I NEED his services for the Parkinson's. **I am concerned that high pressure sales takes greater priority over the health and well-being of your members. I must say the experience was very unpleasant and troubling aqnd has soured my enthusiasm for your facilities. I have decided to cancel my membership immediately and seek out a facility that is in alignment with my health needs and goals.
