If you no longer want to maintain your account with LA Fitness, you can cancel it with these helpful tips.
LA Fitness is an American fitness center chain that has locations throughout the United States and Canada. The company was founded in 1984 and now has over 700 locations. LA Fitness is known for acquiring other gyms that are failing and reconverting them.
LA Fitness offers its members different types of memberships based on the regional area, but most are paid on a monthly basis with an annual commitment. If you no longer want to maintain your account with LA Fitness, you can cancel it. Note that cancelling your account before you have fulfilled your entire contract can result in some additional fees.
Go to www.lafitness.com
In the top right corner, select 'Member Login.'
Sign in to your account with your username and password. Click on 'Sign In.'
Under 'Account Settings,' print the cancellation form.
Fill out the form and mail it in to the address provided on the form. To avoid being charged for the upcoming month, make sure you mail the form at least five business days before your new billing cycle.
When enough time has passed, phone into your local retail location or go into the gym, and ask them to confirm your membership has been canceled.
Follow the same steps as outlined above but instead of mailing the form, bring it with you to the gym.
Alternatively, you can just visit your gym and ask them to walk you through the cancellation in person. Make sure you ask them to clarify any fees that you may be charged for canceling.
An LA Fitness Operations Manager will need to be onsite to approve the cancellation and note that they typically only work Monday to Friday. You can call into your gym and ask when the manager is in.
If you prefer to cancel over the phone, you can call the LA Fitness Customer Service line. Make sure you ask them to clarify any fees that you may be charged for canceling.
After you cancel your membership, you will be able to continue using the facilities until the end of your current billing cycle. You can take a look at your previous charges to see when a new billing cycle starts (the day of the month you're typically charged).
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like LA Fitness in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our How Do I Cancel My Account with LA Fitness? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
