Dear GetHuman, I am experiencing difficulties logging into my Instagram account @laura.rihova. After reporting the issue, I received an email indicating that my account was disabled. However, when attempting to log in, I am encountering an "unknown error" rather than the expected disabled account message. Despite never violating Instagram's Terms of Use or using prohibited apps, my account seems to have been disabled in error. Furthermore, I have not received any warnings or had any posts removed. Additionally, there are multiple impersonator accounts sharing inappropriate content, which might have triggered the wrongful disablement of my account. Despite reporting these impersonators, their accounts remain active. Facebook (Instagram) has requested verification of my identity by providing a selfie with a specific code, which I have done. I have also submitted several forms to address the disabled account issue. Given the importance of my Instagram account for personal memories and professional opportunities as a freelance model, I am reaching out for your assistance in expediting the recovery process. I believe my account was compromised when I was unfollowing people on Instagram. I received a message stating that my password had been given to someone engaging in prohibited activities. I am unable to reset my password through email or phone, as I do not recall the old one. My Instagram is linked to Facebook, email, and phone number, which could be used for verification. My account with [redacted] followers keeps getting blocked for reasons unknown. This is the third time it has happened, and I find it frustrating as I dedicate a lot of time to my account. I am certain I have not breached any guidelines. The only option given is to fill out a form, but it has been ineffective. If my account is at risk of being banned, I would appreciate knowing the specific violation I have supposedly committed.

On November 29th, my account was hacked and I unknowingly shared my log-in link with user @_.leelpac. Before I could attempt to recover my account, they changed the email and phone number associated with it. Initially, my phone number was [redacted], and my email was [redacted] I was logged in through an Android device, specifically a Galaxy A20, when I received an email notification indicating that a TECNO KC8 from Chicago accessed my account on November 29th at 9:11 am.

My fiancé's account was hacked by someone pretending to be her, sending scam Bitcoin links to all her followers. She is devastated and very upset about this situation. She has struggled to find any assistance on how to regain access to her stolen account. The hacker has altered her password, email, and phone number. She is concerned because her account holds valuable memories of her kids and late spouse, and the hacker is using it, possibly along with other accounts, to distribute harmful phishing links.

My Instagram account was deactivated because I apparently violated the rules, which is not possible. I've had this account for over 3 years and have never broken any rules! I don't understand why it was deactivated without receiving a prior notification! Exactly 24 hours and 7 minutes ago (at 12:02), it said that I would get my account back within 24 hours if everything was fine! What is not fine that I don't have access to my account!!!!?!?!?!

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my account. I attempted to update my email as I no longer have access to the previous one. Instagram sent me four verification codes to the old email, but there was an extra number in the code causing a problem during verification. Although I managed to proceed, the account now demands my old phone number for verification, which is incorrect. My current number is "[redacted]," not the old one "[redacted]" used a year ago. Despite changing it recently, the system is still asking for the old phone number and email, preventing my account access. I am in urgent need of assistance.

Hello, my account was cancelled two weeks ago, and I didn't receive any explanation. I wasn't aware that uploading a story multiple times could be considered spam, which I believe is why my account got blocked. I would like to recover it as I've put a lot of effort into building it. I didn't know the reasons for Instagram suspending accounts, and it wasn't my intention to cause any issues. Now that I understand the potential reasons for an account suspension and believe I've served the penalty, I would appreciate it if you could reactivate it. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

I received an email from Instagram notifying me of a change in my email address. After clicking on the provided link, I followed the steps to recover my account, but I encountered issues with the password reset email being sent to the compromised email. I tried other options like the verification code, but I never received one. The face recognition option was also unsuccessful. I have cherished memories and personal photos on my Instagram account under the username "wunschel16," linked to the email address "[redacted]" I am reaching out for assistance in regaining access to my account. There is an individual who has been hacking into multiple accounts, including mine, and using them to promote themselves as an entrepreneur. This person changed all the contact information and passwords, blocking access to my Instagram account. They are also using a false email to avoid detection. This has affected others as well, and I can provide evidence and usernames. The hacker promoted themselves on my account, linking to a profile with many followers. It is clear they are exploiting others' accounts to boost their own presence.

I lost access to my account in late August [redacted]. The person who took over changed my email twice and demanded $[redacted] in BTC to return it. Four weeks ago, I attempted to log into my Instagram account and was greeted with a message stating, “your account has been disabled due to a violation of our terms.” I am certain that I have not engaged in any inappropriate behavior on the platform. I solely use Instagram to browse through photos, I do not have my page, and I refrain from leaving comments. This situation leads me to believe that my account might have been compromised. Your platform, though private, functions as a public space in the age of new media. By censoring what you perceive as "hate speech," you are encroaching on the freedom of speech of many Americans. The right to not be offended is not innate to humans. While I find your presence offensive, I simply carry on without flagging you. This excessive censorship may incite a backlash and cause people to revolt against Instagram. Censorship is more harmful than any words I could speak. Let's handle disagreements maturely and avoid reporting individuals for using strong language to convey emotions. It's time to move past this outdated mentality from the 90s, as even children are exposed to disturbing things online. Silencing someone doesn't change their views. This issue transcends politics and shouldn't be about taking sides. Freedom entails the ability to express even offensive views. Rest assured, you will survive hearing differing opinions. Thank you.

I am unable to access my Instagram account because I changed my email from iCloud to Google. Instagram sends login information to my new email but asks me to verify with an old email not associated with my account. The reset password link does not load, and I cannot receive the required verification code. Despite completing the selfie verification successfully, I am now stuck waiting for a code that is being sent to an outdated email address.
