Signed up for paper from a student selling subscriptions for some trip. The paper was supposed to be delivered Thurs & Sun. It was mentioned at the time of sign up that this was a promotional offer lasting * months. After that *rd month it was supposed to automatically stop. Believing this, my account was continued being debited with the price of the subscription doubling, then continuing to rise thru the rest of the year. This caused severe hardship to me because my account was being debited without notice. This drew an insufficient funds charge to my account, due to the unexpected rising cost of this subscription, which caused a ripple effect for the rest of my bills. I tried on numerous occasions to cancel subscription using the phone * provided on the paper and as my bank statement shows, I was not successful. Since my initial * month sign up period was supposed to stop after the ******* payment, my account was charged $***.** with the additional $**.** NSF charge. I am still getting the paper delivered, last one yesterday. I WOULD LIKE THIS SERVICE CANCELLED IMMEDIATELLY! I want no more auto withdrawals from my account ending in *****. I would like also to be contacted about how to address the unwanted additional charges on my account for a subscription that was supposed to automatically end after * months. If I would have known different (hindsight *****) I would not have got the subscription at all. Was just trying to help a student out.
