During a visit to see my friend in Athens I hoped to purchase a number of items for her including a white replacement toilet seat and reviewed the online price in readiness to make a purchase at the local store. The item was advertised at €**. *However, as a resident from the UK I recalled purchasing the same item for considerably less. I checked the UK website and found the exact same item for £**...!! When taking current €*£ exchange rates into account the toilet seat in Athens is approx €** more expensive..!!**Given the significant disparity between the salaries in the UK and those typically in Greece I would really like to know how IKEA can justify such an extortionate and seemingly unjustifiable price!*I cannot conceive that logistics has any fundamental part to play in such a price difference! *If anything, I would have expected the item in the UK to be more expensive given the higher trading conditions ie. salaries etc
