Hello**I made an order online that was scheduled for delivery yesterday.**Ikea told me the order would be with me between *am-**am. Great, i arranged with work that I would be off for half a day. ****am rolled around and nothing. I phoned Ikea, and was on hold for * hour, then was told ‘oh yeah they are running a bit late’. How late is a bit late, i asked, I was astounded to be told the ETA was *pm. I was offered a gift voucher that would be emailed for this, by way of apology - that hasn’t been received either. **That’s not a bit late, that is * hours late from the start of the delivery window. I asked why the drivers didn’t call to let me know as was told they didn’t know. I checked the number on file, and it as correct, so they had the right number for me. **Anyway, I arranged with work, to my annoyance that i would have to take the whole day off. Not idea, but there you are. Three rolls around, and still no delivery. I checked online to track the order too and saw that it said an attempt was made at **:**. This simply was not the case, as i had been in the house the whole day. **I called customer services again, again on hold for over an hour, i eventually spoke to the most unhelpful Roxanna (ref ********). I explained the situation, whilst admittedly I was a little curt, I didnt raise my voice and was extremely frustrated. However Roxanna did nothing to help the situation, being told ‘i completely understand’ constantly, and generally having an attitude towards me was unbelievable. **Anyway, Roxanna, said the drivers had gone to a white door and there was no answer. My front door is black, so that was the first alarm bell. I would love to see proof of this, in much the way DPD will photograph to prove they were at the premises. I get the feeling this wont be an option. Also when i asked why the drivers were, when tasked with a delivery where they think the people aren’t, didn’t engage their brain and, oh i don't know, try calling the customer. A) to say they were en route B) They were delayed and C) when outside the property (or at least the property they think they are outside) call to say, we are here, where are you. I was told that the ‘hub’ were unable to comment. How convenient! **Not a little background, the order was for my * month old’s room, we have the house turned upside down decorating * having builders in to get his room ready. The decorations were planned around the delivery as we need to cut away skirting boards to attach the wardrobes to the walls. Roxanna, kindly told me i couldn’t have a delivery for a whole week, which obviously wasn’t an option. So instead she said to go inshore (not easy when you haven’t a car and have a baby) and order a next day delivery (no mention of the cost of this). I asked if that was not something that could just be organised by Ikea, seeing that i was on the phone to them. I was told no.**As a result I have cancelled the order, and will take my custom elsewhere - perhaps to a company that is able to do their job. The incompetence i have encountered from Ikea knows no bounds. **Now I have to rearrange builders * decorators around a new delivery, i will have to take another day off (not getting that day i have already lost back either). It is total lose lose situation for me, thanks to you.**I look forward to your explanation.**Regards
