Keith Hughes*** Greenhill Road*Coalville*LE***RH*Ikea*Witan Gate House****-*** Witan Gate West*Milton Keynes*MK* *SH**Dear Sir or Madam,**Order number: *****************Ref: Delivery complaint due to breach of contract**On **-May-** you agreed to sell me several garden items for which I started paying for on the **-Jun-** via a DD. **It was agreed you would deliver to me on **-Jul-**. I received a phone call on the **-Jul-** to confirm delivery and to see if someone was available, to which I confirmed. On the day of the **-July your delivery times came and went and after several phone calls to the call center throughout the day it was confirmed that the order was out for the delivery and should be with me shortly. Upon the last phone call to the call center around *:**pm I was informed that the order was in fact not out for delivery but had been cancelled due to several items being out of stock. So *st this was a breach of delivery contact and *nd the items that were out of stock for which I ordered in May-** was the *nd breach of selling contract as you had already agreed, and subsequence changed me for these items via DD payment. It was a condition of the contract that the delivery date would be adhered to, as stated on **-May-** when the contract was entered between myself and Ikea. You failed to deliver. You would not then agree to deliver at a time which was convenient to me, and delivery was rearranged for, and took place on, **-Jul-**. However, I incurred loss due to your breach of contract.**I was compelled to take a further day leave for which represented a net loss to me of £***. I am writing to claim this amount from you. I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter within ** days. Failing this, I will bring proceedings against you in the county court for damages, and interest on them at the rate of *% per annum and costs.**In addition, I also claim £*** for travel to and from the Ikea Nottingham store as the call center where no help at all, phone calls to the call center, compensation for inconvenience as part of the order had to be cancelled. This brings my total claim to £***. I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter within ** days.
