I have an intermittent gas valve for my boiler. Model VR****M****. My basement got some water while the power to the boiler was off). It would not start up once the water was cleared. Spark but no pilot. I discovered water in the pilot line and in the valve chamber connected to the pilot line. I cleared the water with compresssed air and the pilot and boiler now appear to work. But I’ve been operating it manually. That is allowing it to heat then once done turning off power and gas. Is there a way for me to determine if the balance is operating correctly and safely? Or you simply advise changing out the valve?
