I was supposed to have a washer, dryer, stove, and microwave delivered yesterday between * and *. it did not come. at *:** I called the number of the delivery place. It was the most recent call from them on wed *****. when I spoke with the employee I was told the delivery men said they were there at *:** and reported no one was as home and they called my phone and left a *message about the delivery. there was no missed phone call or record on my phone that I was called. I was in an emergency situation. I had to rush my mother to the hospital for emergency surgery and I had *my phone on and with me the entire time. no phone call was received. my husband who should have been in the hospital with me, stayed home to receive the delivery. He said he stayed near the door vigilantly from * to *, but never left the house all day. My front door was open all day and my husband said no one came. Delivery man said the next delivery would bed ***. I spoke with a supervisor and she said they could deliver on *****. I am having a huge family gathering on *** and these dates do not work. I called home depot in Annapolis, Maryland on Forest drive and spoke with the appliance salesman who read me the message from the delivery man. It said he was at the house at *:**. * different delivery times were given to me but it does not matter, my husband was home and I had the phone and there was no missed call. If I had received the call I would have had my husband go outside. The salesman transferred me to the manager but he was the night manager and it was *:** at night and too late to do anything. He passed my message on to the day manager for the next morning. I had a phone call from the day manager, who said the delivery date had to be on *****. I had a difficult time trying to reach the home office because I wanted to talk to a customer service person in the complaint department, but phone options did not help and when I pushed * to talk to an operator, it only ended my call and I had to repeat the same process. I eventually found this web site and am grateful. I want to go somewhere else to buy *my appliances because there are small stores that will do same day delivery. One problem is*, I must be in the hospital with my ** year old mother. I feel I am at the mercy of a botched delivery. This is very disappointing. I love home depot but I don't know if I can trust them enough to ever buy something to be delivered, again. **Thank you for taking the time to read this.
