Good afternoon. My wife went to Home Depot Store **** this morning looking for a back plate for the water line that feeds the toilet. She approached a gentleman in plumbing asking for help. He stated that he could not since he was helping a customer currently and then going to help another. She went in the next aisle and approached another employee, and he stated the same thing. He was too busy helping out a customer, and then needed to help out another. Then he finished by saying “so no, I can’t “ and walked away. She went to the front desk asking for a store manager, and the lady said that she can’t get a store manager for assistance, but will get another. The second gentleman that my wife approached, arrived, looked at her and said that he is already busy helping out another customer. That employee then walked her to the area she needed, and was giving her short answers. She had to pay for * separate parts, because she could not determine the right size cover. Needless to say, my wife was very upset that after she paid for the merchandise, she walked out of the store without them. *I’m not familiar with your store policy, but better customer service should not be sought after. It should be expected. Home Depot is not the only place we can do business. And not allowing a customer to speak with a store manager, no matter how minuscule, is unacceptable. What sets any company apart, if they are providing similar product, is customer service. We have been customers of this location for over ** years. And within the last * months, this is the second similar situation she has experienced. It starts with leadership
