The issue in GetHuman-scsinmk's own words
I was at the Home Depot at the Southbay shopping center in Boston Massachusetts around six or * AM today. I Believe that I may have apparently dropped my ID in the store So I called around eight requested a front and manager he then told me they had my ID in the store. I told them I would be at the store at or before closing tonight to pick it up. I called the store again at *:** To confirm that they had it and to let them know i would be arriving at ****Defined out if I would be able to get in touch with somebody when I arrived to retrieve it. The female I spoke to on the phone said they had it and somebody would still be there. I arrived at **:** and got stopped in the entryway by a female employee. She told me the store was closed and I told her why I was there, and what I was told when I called both times. Well the look she gave me said enough she was not happy that I was there asked for my name and told me to stay put while she went to go see if they had it. Lesson five minutes later she came back and told me she looked all over and they don’t have it. then she proceeded to tell me to come back tomorrow and check again. Well if you “looked all over,” and can confidently tell me it’s not there, then why would I come back tomorrow? How is it going to turn up and who is it gonna turn up to when the store is closed? Doesn’t make any sense. So that leaves me with the impression that she doesn’t care and didn’t look. I’ve worked in some kind a sales role and every job I’ve had over the last ** years. The rules are the same everywhere I’ve worked, anytime a object importance i.e. credit card debit card wallet and things of that sort were found, they are to be immediately reported to the management team who is then supposed to put it in the safe in the office after a couple days if there’s no contact from a customer looking for it it’s supposed to return to its manufacture IE for a license, the RMV. For a credit card or debit card it was to be mailed to the respective banking institution. So either this Home Depot runs on a different policy, or it’s employees just don’t care to protect customers information or legal documents which leads me to be concerned as I have a credit account through Home Depot. But apparently Home Depot can’t be trusted with customers information , Turn order to protect myself in order to protect myself in my financial information I don’t have to take my personal and business needs, As well, I’ll have to make sure that my friends, family, and fellow business owners know to do the same, as I’m sure they would like to know their financial information is with a company that can handle the responsibility of protecting Their customers private information.
