I was assualted and life threatened by a non passenger on the Greyhound property because lack of security and complete ignorance of staff, mistreated and actually discriminated against because of a disability,stranded because of rep error and no acceptable solution was offered.

Help with my Greyhound issue

Travel to see family for a personal matter. ... I called Greyhound due to the extra ** hours it took to get to my destination as well as the treatment I experienced on my trip. I truly didn't believe Greyhound would give me any issue with a refund after explaining in detail how I was physically assaulted and was threatened to be shot by a person who had wandered on their terminal to sell drugs. I was standing in the designated smoking area at the Memphis terminal with two other gentlemen who had ridden the same bus as me when a man standing around the corner of the building to avoid cameras continually asked me to come look at what drugs he had. I repeatedly stated no thank you and then he physically began to push me in the chest while threatening to shoot me with a gun in his front pockets. This is directly in camera view as I knew to stay away from this person.There was no security or staff anywhere in sight and I honestly feared for my safety. I believe it would have gone much worse if other people were not standing by and if I had not asked the man repeatedly and very loudly that I had no money and that cameras were watching him. I asked Greyhound to verify this information because it was in their camera view and also explained the two gentlemen with me can verify this. Besides this I do suffer a mental disability and was also denied access to my bag by a driver during a ** minute break. Because of the continued delays I had missed every transfer and was unable to access my checked bag until that time and had already undergone almost inhuman treatment by GH staff.I was also forced to pay for a rental car because I was sent to the wrong final stop after the third reprint of my ticket. I was stranded by the bus and no direction or information was given as to where I could find another ticket office or other number I could call. *I was told that customer service could only assist us with tickets for our original departure station's be.After explaining everything could be verified I was offered a $** travel voucher, my life and mental health we're impacted because of their lack of any safety precautions so I am baffled as to why they believe I would ever use their company again. I also inquired about any media relations or medical realatons department they have because of what had taken place. No help was given besides a mailing address. By the time a response is given I doubt any camera incident will be able to be viewed. My ribs are beginning to hurt even more where the gentlemen had hit me and I needed to know what forms or bills I will send to Greyhound or if I need to wait until a team from their mailing address contacts me. I will not jeapordize my health and to be honest I do feel that I was discriminated against because of my condition. When I began to ask what conditions Greyhound would acknowledge or assist with I was given the response of "if your not in a chair or need to be guided don't worry about it". Unfortunately this situation occurred and Greyhound has not even offered to verify anything I've told them before assisting me further. If no assistance is given light must be shown on this as well as the numerous other violations of their own policy and outrageous treatment of their customers. I am unsure if this statement will assist me with my dilemma but I hope Greyhound will be held responsible and basic customer satisfaction will be given. Absolutely no resolution besides a $** voucher was offered (at first only a $** voucher was offered) and this is absolutely unacceptable. I will seek a third party assistance if Greyhound does not contact me immediately.
I was physically assaulted, discriminated against,delayed by over ** hours total because of delays and still wasn't able to make it to my destination because of rep error when rerouting me. I had to pay for the remainder of my trip by rent a car and was never even asked if there was something they could help me with. Never once.
Any sane person would have asked if a refund or even a partial refund would be accepted. I was only offered a travel voucher, my life was actually threatened because of staff complacency and I would rather walk them ever travel with Greyhound again.
I am patient and never yell, curse or become aggressive to people because I understand what it's like to be treated poorly. I have never been treated so horribly by anyone, let alone a major company in my entire life and will be involving the media in hopes of helping others avoid the utter disaster that Greyhound has become.
No other options were given besides writing a letter to there escalated department which most likely won't be read until I have to visit the hospital or any proof has been lost by them in hopes of ignoring the issue. By this time the local news and other media outlets will be contacted and later possible representation may be needed if any other expenses occur because of Greyhound .
