Hello, I have a car rented for this June for a road trip in Spain. I'm in Romania, and this will be my 5th car rental through Getaround in 5 years. Getaround is requesting verification of my profile. However, the app is repeatedly telling me that the picture of my driving license is not clear and needs to be retaken. I've attempted this about 30 times in different lighting conditions, but the issue persists. The problem lies in the fact that the picture on the latest type of driving license in Romania (issued to me in July [redacted]) is electronically processed and not inherently clear. Despite my efforts, the photo I submit through the app will not improve in clarity and will continue to be rejected. I am concerned about not being able to proceed with my trip to Spain in June with my wife, for which I have already paid for plane tickets and accommodation since January. I have tried reaching out to Getaround in Europe, but they advised me to use the app for verification. To avoid having to cancel my trip and lose the non-refundable plane ticket money, I am requesting that Getaround consider accepting the photos via email or Facebook Messenger for verification. For the umpteenth time, I am trying to explain to Getaround that the Clio reserved on 17.08 for 9:30 pm was not in the "closed parking lot with an intercom for entry" as indicated by Getaround. There was no closed parking lot or intercom as described! After searching for over half an hour, we found the car in a public paid parking lot (thankfully without a ticket). Since Getaround requires 8 photos to unlock the doors and the lighting was insufficient past 10 pm, we had to ask a family member to pick us up (round trip 50km) and again on 18/8 around 10 am when Getaround finally unlocked the car!

I was unable to pick up the rented Clio until Thursday, 8/18 at 10:41 am instead of 8/17 at 9:30 pm, as the car with license plate GC504VR was not at the designated location. I do not expect any compensation for this delay, but I left a phone holder on the dashboard when returning the vehicle. Getaround is asking me to make a new reservation for 1 hour to unlock the car doors and retrieve my personal items. However, as I live in Saint Germain en Laye in Yvelines, it is unreasonable for me to take the TGV back and forth just to open the car doors. I had asked if a family member living close to Libourne could retrieve the phone holder, but I did not receive a positive response. I am seeking a solution from Getaround.

I had a car reservation booked for 9am on 9/3, but faced issues accessing the app when I arrived at the location. My reservation was canceled 15 minutes into it, causing me to scramble and book a new rental at a $[redacted]+ higher rate. The replacement car had a flat tire and was dirty. Customer service agreed it was unfair, promising to look into my claim. After no response, I followed up and was only offered $40 off my next rental. I am frustrated with the lack of communication and support, feeling like I shouldn't have had to pay extra due to their mistake. I hope for a resolution to this issue and a refund for the additional amount I was forced to spend.

I was supposed to receive a promo code for a full refund, but the amount issued is not the full $[redacted].22 as promised. Now, when trying to book another car, I'm being charged the booking fee again, which was not part of the initial agreement. I urgently need this to be resolved as I've been waiting for 2 hours and just want to head to my hotel after starting work at 5am.

I rented a vehicle through Getaround, and unfortunately, it stalled on the freeway, putting my 3-year-old son and me in a dangerous situation. A highway patrol officer witnessed the incident and advised us to leave the car as it was unsafe. After contacting Getaround, we were left stranded until an Uber arrived to help. Getaround towed the car but didn't provide a replacement or refund for the unused days. They even tried to charge me $99 for gas. I'm seeking a full refund for the entire trip due to the dangerous car they rented to us and their unfair practices. I have witnesses, including the highway patrol officer, truck driver, and dashcam footage to support my claim.

I attempted to rent a car on the website, but encountered an issue while making the payment with my Mastercard. The error message stated that the payment was refused by my bank due to potential insufficient funds or reaching spending limits. However, the amount requested falls below my bank's limits. I attempted using a different card, but encountered the same issue. After contacting my bank, they confirmed no failed payment from their end, suggesting an issue with the website. Is there a solution available for this problem?

I encountered a dreadful experience when renting a car in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Despite providing a $[redacted] deposit, the car was repossessed with all my belongings inside. I lost over $[redacted] worth of possessions as I am not listed on the title, hindering my chances of retrieving them. Additionally, I noticed a reimbursement of less than $72 on my card. This incident disrupted my business trip plans significantly. I firmly believe I am entitled to a full deposit refund, exemption from rental charges, and compensation for the lost items. Getaround recently suspended my account after one of the vehicles I rented got towed. However, the towing of the car was unauthorized as it was parked in the designated loading/unloading area of my apartment building, where I had a 30-minute parking allowance as per my lease agreement. I had only been away for less than 10 minutes when I returned to find the car missing. Wyatt's Towing in Denver, CO, carried out the impound, a company that has faced scrutiny for numerous illegitimate tows.

Hello, I am having trouble finding a phone number to call. My number is [redacted][redacted]. I am a landlord and have a rental where I cannot do the handover myself. My friend would do it. How does it work, what does he need from me besides the key to make the handover and return work well? I can operate remotely with the app, and my friend would be on-site. Please let me know if that is possible and how. There are two people as tenants and I am wondering if both can drive, how does insurance work for that. According to my private insurance, they are allowed, does Getaround allow it too?

I am reaching out regarding the refund deposit from a rental I completed in July alongside the contract. The end-of-rental contract number is [redacted]. I have waited for an extended period beyond the reasonable timeframe. Upon contacting my bank, I noticed that the deposit has not been refunded, and it does not show as a deduction or reimbursement transaction. Only the final rental payment is visible. I am seeking a refund of €[redacted] from my deposit. I eagerly await your response.

Greetings, I, undersigned M.B., made a booking today on 24/02/[redacted] on the GETAROUND website to rent a vehicle at Noisy-le-Grand Boulevard du Levant 5. I intended to rent it from 7:00 p.m. today until Monday, February 26 at 10:00 a.m. I have been charged [redacted].00 Euros four times, totaling [redacted].00 Euros. The booking was not completed due to insufficient funds for the excess, even though the money was deducted from my account. The first two charges were on my debit card and the last two on my credit card. The booking number is N. [redacted]7. I no longer wish to rent the vehicle as I have made other arrangements.
