I made a purchase at the gamestop location in Laurens, South Carolina today, November **, ****. The store leader, Corey, was the one that rang me up. I have a problem. He did not give me a receipt and one of the pre-owned games I purchased, Fallout New Vegas, did not have any discs in it when I got home. Upon returning to the store, the store associate told me he could not do anything without a receipt, which is understandable. He instructed me to contact the powerup rewards number to obtain an itemized receipt through email communication, and I have been on hold for going on * hours.*My concern is me and my wife spent about $** on items today, I was not given a receipt, and the Fallout game had no discs in it. What is more perplexing is I picked up the 'standard' pre-owned copy marked at $*.** and when i got home, I realized that Corey rang up an Ultimate edition marked $**.**. I do not know how this switch happened, because I specifically remember picking up the standard copy because it had a red sticker stating that it was backwards compatible whereas the ultimate edition did not.*I would like a receipt from this transaction emailed to me, but I am even further concerned from the statement the store associate told me upon returning to the store with this problem* he stated that his inventory matched the discs that he could find. This does not make since, being that it is logical that if Corey accidentally forgot to put the disc in the case upon payment, then there should be a discrepancy within that inventory, meaning they would have one less case and one (in this case * disc being ultimate edition) too much discs. Me and my wife also thought it was strange that immediately after our purchase, Corey walked out behind us and proceeded to his car.*So my dilemma is that I feel even if I have an itemized receipt emailed to me and having an empty game case in hand, I would still be left empty handed, being that the store associate stated that his inventory was correct when we returned. Either way, I payed $** dollars and did not receive anything in return other than an empty case. And it does seem skeptical to me that I put a standard edition on the counter and found an ultimate edition when I got home with no disc in it, and that the store manager left the store immediately after this purchase. I would like an answer, whether it be the discs that I supposedly paid for, or a reimbursement of my money spent. If everything checks out as far as inventory, is there any way to review surveillance footage from that day to see if anything unethical happened?*I never had any problems what so ever with gamestop in the many years I have shopped there, but this is ludicrous. Unless my problem is solved, I will no longer do business with this company. Not only that, but I would have to think that it would benefit the business to investigate this matter in the event that one of the associates committed an unethical act or even theft.**Sean Dorough******@***.com*(***)***-****
