My name is Shenna Basye-Cara. I own a court reporting agency in Delaware.**On Sunday May **th, I was the victim of a hacking crime on my personal Facebook page, and offensive images were posted. Facebook disabled both my personal account and my business account, Basye Santiago Reporting, and asked me to verify my identity. I followed the steps, which was giving my email address (*****@***.com) and submitting a copy of my driver’s license. There was nowhere for me to give any explanation of what happened. I received a reply back that they reviewed the decision, and since I violated their community standards, my account remains disabled and the decision cannot be reversed.**I’ve been able to secure all other areas of my life from the hacker except where Facebook is concerned. I’ve spent many hours down the rabbit hole trying to contact Facebook, and there is no way to get a live person one the phone. Emails and voice mails to various departments go unacknowledged.**Not only have I lost ** years of photographic memories, I have lost access to my business page and all my personal and business contacts through Facebook. This has been devastating to me both personally and professionally, as I’m sure you understand. To be unable to communicate during the Covid-** epidemic is terribly difficult. There is no way to get in touch with anyone in person who could fix this simple issue in five minutes.
They need to restore my personal and business FB pages, since I was the victim of a hacker here, not the perpetrator.
I use FB regularly daily to keep in touch with customers for over ** years. I also have bought quite a number of products through ads targeted to me.
I've posted to every email account for help I can find through the FB help page. I have sent Twitter messages and tagged print and digital media companies to draw attention. I have called the FB phone number and gone through the directory for every department and you can't talk to anyone or leave a message.
