Facebook doesn't have a customer phone number that is answered by an agent. Instead, GetHuman1146621 will need to dig through the advice provided by Facebook, other customers and consumer advocacy websites like GetHuman. Here are some instructions we've written for similar issues- hopefully GetHuman1146621 can let us know if they help or not.

I was recently tagged in a couple of posts in an FB account of someone who died several years ago, and there's no way to do anything about it since it's obvious the account has been hacked. **Actually, I'm aware of several people who've died and yet their FB accounts are still active. I see things posted from them now and then, and it bothers me that FB seems to have no way for people to report activity on accounts for people who've actually died. Everybody who knows these people KNOWS THEY DIED, but none of us can actually get hold of anything like a Death Certificate or whatever FB needs to deactivate their accounts. So we're at the mercy of hackers that FB refuses to deal with because the actual account owner is no longer alive and able to respond to anything that FB has in place to protect their account.
I don't know who "they" is here other than Facebook. Anybody who REALLY KNEW these people -- as in REAL FRIENDS -- KNOWS they're DEAD. So why doesn't FB ask them? Instead, they ask whomever has taken over the account. And what are THEY going to say? "Oh, no, the news of my death was greatly exaggerated!" Yeah, right. **If we KNOW someone has DIED, there needs to be some mechanism WE CAN USE to say, "I know this person to be deceased and I want to sever my ties with their account." **At some point, FB should wise-up and realize that the person REALLY IS DEAD even if none of the people who REALLY KNEW THEM can get their hands on a Death Certificate.
I'm all ears. What options do I have???
