Etsy handling sales taxes?

As a seller I am trying to find out how Etsy is really handling sellers sales taxes by using a *rd party to handle this. Especially when most of my sells have not had sales tax charged to my buyers. There are so many different ideas from other Etsy sellers that I don't know the true answer. HELP ... Etsy supposedly handles all sellers states sales taxes coming from different states. Etsy has a *rd party that handles this. But as a seller, I notice most of my sells do not show sales tax when I sell an item. I am from Kentucky, and automatically have Etsy take out for my state. I have asked one of Etsy Help Supporter if they knew if the *rd party submits the tax money and where? They did not know. Do I need to worry about this? They told me to talk to my tax expert. I did and my tax lady said they do not handle Nexus sales tax returns. My question to you, do I go ahead and show all states sales taxes of all my sold items for the year when I give my sales records to my tax lady? I am worried that if I don't do this correctly, I will be penalized. *Sincerely, *Theresa West

My biggest concern is if I don't show all my sold items with state sales tax, I will be penalized.*I know there are certain states that started later in the year to require sales tax from online sales.
