Called Equifax to freeze my credit report. Went through the ****-***-**** number, gave all the pertinent information. The robot gave me a very long pin, which I didn't catch, & hung up. It did not repeat the pin, just hung up. *Concerned I called the Get Human number & was told it would take ** minutes on hold for a live person. I opted to have a call back. *When they called back (it was Trusted ID), I gave all the pertinent info again, she put me on hold, then came back & I said I would have to call back in ** minutes as the system was down (I think). I asked if she would call me back when it came up & she said she could not. She had a very thick accent so I kept have to ask her to repeat herself as she was difficult to understand. She obviously got frustrated with me - told me to have a nice day, & hung up. Talk about a negative experience. *I would like them to call me or email me with a pin so if I need to access my credit report, I could unfreeze it.
GetHuman-bentler_ did not yet indicate what Equifax should do to make this right.
