Hello and happy new year. My name is George Rouvalis and I travelled with my wife and * kids on **th of December **** from Athens to Bristol. We had with us * **kg suitcase and * cabinbags. At my check in in Athens I particular asked if my cabinbags where ok to travel and the lady there told me that they were absolutely ok. On *th of January **** we were travelling from Bristol to Athens with the same luggages. Before go inside the airport a lady asked me to put all the cabinbags to a special box for measurement. She told me that * of * bags were exceeding the limit and they asked me to pay ** pounds for each bag. I explained her that an Easyjet employee in Athens told me that there is no problem with my bags and I particularly asked about this matter. I wondered how two easyjet employees tell me different things and the lady said that I must pay the *** pounds and when I arrive in Greece I should go to the Easyjet office in the Airport and apply for a refund. I asked her what happens if I don't have the money to pay and she said to me that I will not board to the airplane. I remind you that I had * under aged children with me. Just before the plane departure I paid money that it was out of our budget and created a problem to my family. At the moment I arrived in Athens, I went to find the Easyjet office in the Airport and realize that there is no Easyjet office but a Swissport office which actually represents Easyjet and ** more different air companies in the airport. I explained my problem and they said I was right but there is nothing they can do because they are different company. They advise me send you an email about the situation and they also advise me to go to an Easyjet box and take some photos of my bags and the measurement box to have some clues. When I went to the box I realize that one of the * bags which exceeding the limit at Bristol, fitted in the box at Athens. The other two bags' handles were out of the box for almost * cm. For all these I have photos I can send you. The questions are how * easyjet employees tell me different things and bring me to this situation? How * measurement boxes have different size to different airports and a bag fits to one and no to the otherone? Is it really worth to worry a family of five with * under aged kids that they will not travel if they will not pay? Thank God I had these money even they will miss next days from my family survival in the case you will not refund us. I wait for your response. Kind regards
