Hi. I'm a doordash delivery person. Yesterday I went on my fifth delivery. I had a * star rating after the first * deliveries. The order was for McDonald's in Victor, N.Y. I went to order the food and they didn't have the white hot chocolate that the girl wanted because it's seasonal. I called customer to ask of regular hot choc was ok. She said yes. Then she wanted a big breakfast with pancakes and a hashbrown. They weren't serving scrambled eggs anymore so I text her twice to tell her her options of a folded egg or a round egg. I explained that the folded egg is most like a scrambled egg. She did not text me back so I made an executive decision to get her the folded egg. Then McDonald's gave me a big breakfast with a folded egg, sausage patty, biscuit, and * hash browns. I told them that the order wad wrong and that I ordered pancakes with the order. They told me the girl at the register had put it in the register wrong and gave me the pancakes and syrup. I told the manager that I had all this extra food that I didn't order. He wouldn't take it back. Something about for my troubles...i texted the customer that I was on my way with her food and that id be to her in about ** minutes. Then she text me back and said she wanted the folded egg. But I had already gotten her that. When I got to her house I asked her if she was a vegetarian because they gave her sausage. She said she wasn't. I explained everything that happened at McDonald's with her order and how they gave her all thus extra food. She saud thats ok. Today I have a rating of a low *.* because of the food. I'm trying to figure out how this is my fault??? I didn't do anything wrong but now my rating is low which means i could be in danger of them closing my account. Customer service is SUPER important to me and I do everything in my power to provide excellent service to people and communicate with them throughout the process. I didn't put a frown face when I rated the delivery cuz we worked through all the issues or so I thought. Is there anything that can be done about this rating?
