The issue in GetHuman-dmooreia's own words
First, I checked and my credit rating is ***. Second, I have never missed or been late on a bill in my life. Third, I owe nothing to anyone currently - no credit card debt, no car debt, no home debt (and I own * homes) - nothing other than utility payments.**Now to the point. A representative at a local AT&T office several months ago coerced me to sign up for a "wireless" directtv plan that turned out to be fundamentally flawed. After having it installed and being faced with multiple problems, and after speaking with numerous individuals by phone in the directtv pipeline, I learned that the plan outlined to me was not available. More seriously, the installation at that time of a wireless platform was not workable. We had the plan and the connection for no more than * days and never did have any consistent signal due to a connection issue that was still being worked on. This was explained to me by a directv technician.**I spoke with multiple individuals to get directv canceled. I was finally able to find a representative who said she canceled everything out and that I owed nothing. By this time I had already returned the equipment through FEDEX. Since we could not watch TV with the directtv plan I had already gotten something different.**Now, months later I am contacted by phone and mail by Sequium Asset Solutions notifying me that "a negative credit report reflection on your credit record may be submitted to a credit reporting agency if you fail to fulfill the terms of your credit obligations." I am told I owe $***.**.**I don't care about submission of a negative credit report reflection since I no longer borrow money. I also realize it would be better if I just ignored this meaningless threat. However, I am personally offended by it and I will not pay $***.** for something I benefited nothing from and that caused me some amount of difficulty just to get rid of. **How I would like for this to be resolved is that I not be contacted again by Sequium or anyone else about this.**Thank you for understanding.
